If you go to google and search for “Wattage of household devices, you will find that most devices, lights, computers, microwaves, and refrigerators require far less power than 2000 watts. That means this device can be used to power most every normal device in your house. Quite impressive. Be advised that this is not a power source. It is not a battery or generator. It is a transformer of electric current. You attach it to a 12v source, a battery or other, and you can then plug in devices to power with 120V. This would be very useful with an off grid solar array, or an RV. This unit being able to supply 2000W continuous power, 6000W surge places it in the “monster” category by my standards.

This inverter performs well and appears to be well made. I had no problems with it powering a 1500 Watt space heater. I didn't have sufficient battery capacity to try it at loads higher than that. There were a couple of minor things that I noted that could have been better. On an inverter of this size, it's nice to have a terminal strip to connect hard-wired external loads to when needed. While this inverter has three 120 VAC outlets, it has no terminal strip for hard-wiring load connections. Another thing that I'm not crazy about on this inverter is the plastic case on it. Both the end pieces and the body of the inverter are plastic. Not a big deal, but I prefer a metal case on an inverter that can help more with heat dissipation. Another thing hat I noticed is that while the digital display has a nice feature in that it alternates back and forth between output Volts and Watts, the Wattage reading dropped to "000" when only the fan in a heater was running. This isn't a big deal because the Wattage indication on most inverters that I've tested is not all that accurate anyhow, but showing "000" when there actually is a load might cause one to run the batteries down thinking that the inverter is completely idle when it is not. Also, the cables supplied with this inverter are pretty short at only 2 feet long. One other minor gripe - If they had made the small plastic nuts that cover the ends of the battery cable studs a bit longer, or made them in the shape of wingnuts, they would be a lot easier to install and remove. As they are, with the plastic terminal covers installed, you can barely get your fingers on them to remove them, or else you can use a socket to remove them. Again, not a big deal, but just a minor annoyance. But for a price of $149.99 ( as of 3/19/2026), the value of this 2000W pure sine wave inverter is hard to beat, especially if it has a 6000 Watt surge capacity. Unfortunately, I had no means to test that feature.

First of all, I think this inverter is a great way to attain a/c power with d/c tech. I use this with solar panels to supply my coffee maker while remote camping. I have a few panels that keep my batteries charged up, and this allows me to brew my coffee easily, each morning. It does make some noise, but not enough to be an issue. It has plenty of ports for access to easy to connect power. The included cables are beefy and do a great job of carrying the load. I am impressed with the overall design and I have yet to experience any difficulties. The instructions are easy to understand, if you're not a beginner. I noticed the heat dissipation was fairly good overall, but when under a heavy, dead-short load, there was a noticeable accumulation of heat. It performed well, and did not fail, so I feel it is trustworthy. It is not a small item, which lacks mass. It is substantial and seems to be up to the task. My order came well packaged and ready to go. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it 😎 I sure hope you found this a help. Thanks👍🏼

Ampeak 2000W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter I tested this inverter with a few household devices and it performed very well.
