They took the time to send me pictures with diagrams so I could finish the assembly with ease. I am a 71 woman with limited knowledge of assembly and very basic tools on hand. I assembled both chairs by myself. You do need a basic drill, tools to tighten bolts and you are good to go! I am proud to have accomplished this project by myself. The chairs were beautiful. One went together perfectly, but the second did not. I'm not sending it back, just hoping it's secure enough as is. The bar across the bottoe of the chair was not drilled in alignment, so I could not screw it in no matter how I adjusted everything. Three screws will have to do. Its the botton hole on the right side of the bar spanning the seat. On one side ot the arm was bent too much and also did not align properly. Overall, still good.

Ordered the gray set. Following assembly instructions and one side of the arm rest did not line up properly with the seat as expected. After numerous tries to get it correct, I decided to return the item because it was defective. The company wouldn't accept that this was a defect and kept asking me to send them pictures to show them what I was talking about (which I did), They in turn said i wasn't following the directions and sent a video of how to put them together, which was the same as the written directions. After going back and forth for about 7-10 days, asking for a postage paid return label FIVE TIMES, I gave up and sent the items back using Amazon's return label to the tune of $360.00. I had to get Amazon's a-z guarantee involved and finally received a refund for the price of the chairs. Amazon refunded$200 of the $360 shipping, although I had to contact Amazon a few times for the refund they indicated of $320.00.Amazon closed the complaint still owing the promised $120.00. But they did help me recoup most of the money spent. UPDATE: Amazon DID follow through with the remaining $120.00. It suddenly showed up on my credit card about a month later out of the blue.

Attempting to put these chairs together was difficult according to my handyman. Holes didn't always line up and he had to redrill several for them to match and work correctly. After several hours he was able to forcefully put them together. Now that they are together I like them. A bit larger than the chair I replaced.
