My situation: Most of my house has recessed lighting. And 80% of that lighting has a dimmer switch. All of the switches are higher end Lutron units. The product: Strait to it - aside from testing the actual wattage draw and measuring the kelvin of the light on each setting, these lights live up to the claims in the ad. From the absolute lowest dimmer setting where it's barely glowing to full brightness, they perform exceptionally well. Being someone who's sensitive to high frequency sound, these are dead silent regardless of dimming. With 5 kelvin color selections, there's undoubtedly one to suit any setup you should desire. Niggly complaints: Wish the kelvin selector was inconspicuously mounted on the outside for easy mood setting changes. The mounting hardware is a bit more challenging to install than traditional recessed light trim rings - fortunately you don't have to mess with it again. And the reason for four instead of five stars is that it would be nice if the light was recessed a bit inside the recess. There's plenty of room for it. Afterall, being recessed is all about not seeing direct light. You can ALWAYS see direct light with these because the light is exactly flush with the ceiling. Kind of defeats the purpose... I bought this box and replaced most of the can lights in my house. The price was fantastic compared to local hardware stores. My only complaint was that the wires that hold them up in the fixtures are not installed, and I found them difficult to install sometimes without bending the wires.

This is a perfect easy set. Slim, easy install and temp selector for the light. The temp selector is exactly what i needed. In most areas I prefer the more warm golden color light. This makes me more relaxed vs he cooler blueish light. which is great for my. garage and. storage areas where i need to be able to focus on specific things. One thing to note, and this is typical except on rare occasions. the temp selector is on the inside of the mount. So make sure to select what your preference is while installing. Not a big deal as these are easy to take down if needed to change. typically it will be changed only once throughout its lifetime. Overall, its a great set that is very functional and looks good. Our house came with a lot of recessed can light. Mostly in the kitchen/dining room areas. We changed all the incandescent bulbs to LED bulbs years ago. Problem was some would dim more than others so it looked weird. A couple years ago I changed out the old bulbs for some retro style similar to these. Big improvement but I didn't have enough to replace all of them. Fortunately this newer style came up. They have many advantages. Setting the color temperature is a great feature. We have the ones over the sink and stove set a little brighter. They all dim to the same brightness level. They are easy to install (after assembling the clips). They cast a very nice beam that leaves no shadow or dark spots in our installation. We didn't need all 32 lights that come with this bundle, but close.
