  • Works just fine
Easy to plug into my compressor and hose. The pressure indicator seems to be accurate.

  • Tricky valve stems - no problem!
Update a year later: The guage started to read inaccurately... Turns out the brass part of the guage that pops out to show the reading was slowly unscrewing... Put it on a tire with some pressure in the tire so it came out and I just tightened it up by hand! No more issues. Still works great and still recommend. Original review: I had a heck of a time filing the tires in my wife's minivan. The wheels were such that my regular air hose just wouldn't do it and my long-reach nozzle for filling dually tires wouldn't either. This straight-on amflo is perfect! Goes on, no issues and works exactly as I hoped it would. I never realized how much better it is with the pressure guage being built in until I bought one. And being Amflo it'll last me forever. My buddy bought the discount version for half from the local made-in-china store. His broke within a month and I truly doubt if his was accurate from the start... His was plastic where this is metal and brass. I definitely recommend. Commercial or residential. Can't go wrong. ... show more

  • I like this. I bought it because I had a ...
I like this. I bought it because I had a Viair tire inflator, which works great, and I like it. I really prefer the clamp-on style of air chuck. However, I have a 1967 Imperial, and the hubcaps are really deep, and the 90-degree chuck wouldn't fit on the valve stems, because they don't stick out enough. So I looked, and found this. It's just like the ones you see in a gas station. Since it's got a straight-on chuck, it fits on my valve stems, and shows the pressure. It means I have to use two hands, but since my other one didn't work at all, that's just the way it is. If you prefer this style, with the straight-in chuck, and the brass gauge that pops out of the handle (it is kinda cool), then you should get this. It's nicely made, and seems sturdy. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because something should be (in my opinion) truly outstanding to get the max rating. This is a good product, seems to be made well, so I'd have no hesitation to recommend it to someone. ... show more

  • Time Saver, Made well
Great air chuck and gage combo,, Holds up to shop service work...maybe off by a pound or two but once you figure it out just fill according to that..

  • This chuck works great!.
This chuck works great !.., seems like it's really built to last. It works just dandy for topping off low tires as you don't need to fumble around for your separate tire pressure gauge. For those not familiar with this type of chuck......; the process is as simple as squeeze lever to insert air..let up on lever to read the air the new air pressure reading, rinse and repeat until the desired tire pressure is realized. If I were to point out one little negative, it would be the pressure numbers are a bit hard to read on the indicator bar..BUT..it's not that big of a deal as 1. you will eventually get used to it... or 2. Place a small mark on your preferred level with a marker pen. Bottom line... even with that little negative, I think this is a good product and a very fine value for the money spent. ... show more

  • Hose died in a year, the rest died in 5 years.
The durability of this thing is terrible. My hose broke in a year. I found a replacement, and now the rest of it is malfunctioning. Would not recommend.

  • Solid inflator
Nice and surprisingly heavily built tool does just the trick. This is the style with the sliding brass pressure gauge. I haven't yet checked the gauge for calibration, and that would be the only thing that would make me drop a star, but I have no reason to believe it's significantly inaccurate. Shortly after receiving this tool, I came across the exact same model installed for self-service air inflation at a popular gas station nearby. It looked to still be serving admirably after a good long period of use. The outermost layer of the rubber hose was beginning to crack and chip, but looked to still function perfectly, and this was likely a result of continuous outdoor 24/7 exposure. I'd say that this is overall quite a testament to the quality of the tool for its price. ... show more

  • the absolute best tire inflator
I work professionally as a mechanic, and had one of these for years. I also have a MILTON brand dual foot style, but i prefer this one. After about 5 years of everyday abuse, I finally dropped it one too many times and bent the air gauge. I was distressed to see that my tool guy no longer stocked this style on the truck, so I decided to try to find one online. Thank you amazon prime, it was less than half price what i paid on the truck years ago. I find that this style of inflator easier to hold on the valve stem and the gauge portion where you rear the psi is easy to read at a glance. No glass magnifier to crack, and the inflator tip holds up well to use hunderds of times a week, and no batteries to go dead. Look no further, this is the one you want. ... show more
