It wasn't too bright for a bedside nighttime light. You can turn it up for brighter light but the lowest was a nice light when unwinding in bed. Still can see things on the nightstand but not bright enough to keep you from getting sleepy.

I have got a lot of use out of this little light BUT could only give 4 stars because it was missing the charging cable and even though I have 5 other charging cables none would fit. The other thing is after 8 months it quit taking a charge, I was hoping for longer, at least a year
