I love this fireplace! It’s the best. It’s cozy in the winter months or just on a fall day. When you want to change the colors of the fireplace you can, also you can place pictures on top of the fireplace or use it for a tv stand. I’ll start with the cons because that’s what people really want to know. 1) 2 of the 3 plastic grommets were broken on arrival even though there was only minor shipping damage to the boxes and everything was packed well. Not the end of the world, but I paid for a new item so I expect to receive unbroken pieces. 2) there are no spare pieces of hardware besides a few dowels. Do not lose anything! 3) 3 or 4 of the dowels were split long ways down the middle from what appears to be a manufacturing issue and bad QA. Again not the end of the world I suppose. 4) if you follow the instructions on the fireplace and use the rubber feet, the holes WILL NOT line up on the stand to screw in the fireplace. Without the feet you’ll scratch the crap out of the stand trying to get it in unless you have 2 people and lots of patience. I opted to use the feet and just not screw it to the stand. 5) The “wood” material is super cheap. When sitting the top on by myself I slid it into the hole sort of by accident and a screw ripped out the side. Luckily you can’t see it. 6) The included screwdriver is NOT adequate for the cam locks. Do yourself a favor and grab a larger Philips or flat head screwdriver. Otherwise, I love it, especially for the price. I put it together by myself with no issues in about an hour. The screwdriver included is actually pretty beefy and will be getting lots of use around the house. Everything pre drilled fit perfect and was no hassle to get together. The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I was looking for!! I’ve been looking for a fireplace tv stand for a while now and this one, with the fireplace along the entire length of the bottom, is perfect! Most I’ve seen have small little fireplaces in the middle with storage cabinets or shelving on each side which I didn’t want. I love this one. It’s great quality and looks so nice, the pics don’t do it justice. The heating component works nicely and there are plenty of fire colors to choose from. It also comes with crystal rocks but I chose to use the log. All necessary parts arrive in two separate boxes. Assembly was a breeze, my son put it together by himself in about an hour and 15 minutes. The cat approves! What more proof do you need! I take my time when selecting furniture items. I browsed for 1.5yrs before choosing this set. I love how it turned out! I'm also glad we went with the lighter wood. It's a little matchy-matchy with the floor and wall, but our end tables and coffee table are dark, so it's not as matchy-matchy as it seems in the photos. We have our tree set up with Halloween ornaments and lights and the purple flames going. It looks wonderful! I set a vacation hold with FedEx during the delivery window, but the unit was delivered anyway. Wasn't happy about that. It sat out in our driveway overnight.
