  • Looks better than other MDF cabinets
I normally like to purchase solid wood furniture but I needed an inexpensive cabinet that fit a tight space and had a lot of storage while still going with my rustic French Chateau style of decor. This cabinet was a good price, had very good instructions, came undamaged and well packed with styrofoam, and was easy for me( a 40ish woman with above average but not professional building skills) to build in a full 2 hours. I did get assistance from my husband with holding the doors and attaching the hinges as it is difficult to hold the door up and level the needed 6 inches off the floor while attaching. Could be done easily with one person by just propping up the door onto something verses using a foot. 😉 The delivery box was very large and much heavier than I was expecting. I am pretty strong butthis thing was delivered by an Amazon delivery team to my porch and it was too awkward and heavy for me to lift into my house. I was able to lift one end into the front door then slide the box into the house without too much trouble. I used the cheap looking round stickers to cover the predrilled holes for the included knobs and went with my upgraded hardware to achieve more of the style I was going for. I have this in a spare bedroom so I don't plan to be in and out of it daily but it should suffice for my needs very nicely. I am pleased with the purchase for the price I paid and expected a low grade piece of furniture so I was actually very pleased with the outcome. It's particle wood and the back is super cheap and thin with a piece of heavy duty duct tape on the seam. Nothing high quality about it bit I would definitely buy it again and recommend for an inexpensive option. ... show more

  • The material used for the outside was such a beautiful tone!
This was a little tedious to put together but the directions, not hard I just needed to carefully follow the directions. It went together well and it’s sturdy and beautiful. All the screw holes were predrilled and ready, such a timesaver! We recently did some remodeling and I lost my linen closet. This is perfect for storing all those things. The price was below what I expected for a piece this beautiful. I’d buy this again and again!! Thankful the wall anchor was included. ... show more

  • Assembly is kinda janky
It's a really nice pantry, and it's mostly easy to put together; that is, except for the doors. the doors are impossible to get right during assembly and they're a pain once its built. The handles are in the center and there are two strong magnets per door (top and bottom). So you pull the handle and the semi flimsy door bows in the middle, and it's generally just hard to open. While assembling, the door is extremely hard to hang. It requires two people and even then you will likely have to do it multiple times and fiddle with it endlessly to get it just to work, let alone line up with the other door. Other than those things, its a beautiful, sturdy pantry that fits a lot and looks extremely nice. The assembly is easy and well explained (except for the doors). One thing about assembly- I laid out all the numbered screws beforehand and thought I lost one. I looked everywhere for it, only to find out in the instruction booklet that they intentionally skipped a number when making the individual hardware packets. What? ... show more

  • Great customer service by the manufacturer Ameriwood. Very nice cabinet.
The item first delivered damaged. That was disappointing. Obviously mishandled by delivery or shipping, as the box showed evidence of that. Sadly, 3 main pieces were broken badly. Customer service was so helpful on the phone stayed in contact through email and were able to ship replacement parts for all the broken or damaged pieces, which arrived in great condition. The cabinet is quite lovely and sturdy. A gift for my son for extra storage in his apartment dining area. Perfect size. He loves it! ... show more
Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2024 by I bought this scarf to use on a wreath decoration and I absolutely love it! Well made, a vintage Americana look to it and it is well made. Great product for a great price.

  • Great cabinet, sturdy, roomy interior
I have had two of these for nearly a year and am happy with them. Assembly was straight forward and the doors lined up nicely. They hold a lot of weight and because of their depth, I was able to fit a small printer on one shelf that fits with the door closed. It was easy to drill a hole in the back panel for the power cord. ... show more

  • Sturdy, functional, and not bad looking
Just bought my third one of these for storage in our basement. They are very sturdy and look quite good, especially considering the price. Word of advice -- pay close attention when following the directions or you can go wrong. The directions are clear, but if you get ahead of yourself, you could get in trouble. Takes me perhaps two hours to assemble, and again, that's being careful. I use a cordless drill and ensure I don't overtighten, and it's pretty painless. The most aggravating part is trying to line up the doors -- that's the only stage where you really need a second pair of hands, although it is possible to do it by yourself. Anyway, I love these, and when the price dropped to $135, I couldn't resist grabbing another. ... show more

  • Buy it for looks and badly needed storage
I was looking for a storage solution to replace an ugly 50s built-in that we had in our bathroom. It was the only closed door storage available in that bathroom. all we had was this gutted space that we didn't know what to do with. Instead of open shelves, I ended up making just a little open space that would fit a fully built piece, trying to mimic some built in cabinets that I saw on Pinterest. Some of the reviews were talking about the quality craftsmanship, but what it lacks in sturdiness it makes up for in elegance. Good size shelves both in length and depth, and high enough on bottom to hide a tall laundry basket. Was getting my house ready to sell and I'm fully convinced that this thing helped me get a full price offer. And for some reason it smells great inside! LOL. Not quite like cedar, but the same vibe. So far it's been a month in the smell is still there. I don't think I will be moving it to the new house (like I said, craftsmanship. I don't think it would survive the journey. Small price to pay for a full price offer.) But I will likely buy at least one or more to the next place we are going. One of the nicest looking pieces I've ever bought. ... show more

  • Aggrivating
So...I typically like putting furniture together and am handy with home repairs. A MAJOR design flaw is the reason why I'm giving this piece a 1-star review. As I was putting the piece together, I commented to my wife how clear the directions were and how well-labeled all the parts were. However, when I got to the final step (adjusting the doors), I found a serious problem. The doors were hitting each other in the middle and not closing. No problem, I thought. But then I went to adjust the doors and found that the middle shelf (which is the one shelf that is fixed in place) blocked access to the middle hinges on both doors. The only ways I could get to the screws to adjust the doors were to a.) take the whole thing apart, or b.) drill access channels through the bottoms of the shelves. Taking the whole thing apart would only solve part of the problem because I would have to guess on the door adjustment, put the whole thing back together, then pray that the doors don't hit again. So I drilled access channels. Even once I drilled the access holes, I could not adjust the doors properly because the factory pilot holes were drilled in the wrong place (of course for the two hinges that you cannot access once the piece is together.) I had to move the hinges slightly lower so that I could have fresh holes that were accessible. If you buy this and are putting it together, make sure that all the hinges sit above the corners of pieces L and M. This seemingly small problem caused the assembly to go from a 2-2 1/2 hour non-stressful endeavor to a 5-hour assembly then problem solving nightmare. To the company: it's too bad that you have this design flaw. It is a nice looking piece of furniture, but you caused me major frustration. (And, if you read the reviews, may other people too.) ... show more
