After purchasing several large dog beds that my two puppies kept destroying and dragging around the house I bought two of these and now my dogs have access to one of our couches. My dogs are 70 and 110 pounds and the conventional dog beds I was purchasing were in the way on the floor and not durable. I have never allowed my dogs on furniture but this cover has been an outstanding solution. They are highly durable, the small rubberized print on the underside of the cover works great to hold the covers in place and they are completely waterproof. The color remains vibrant, there are many color options and they wash nicely in the washer. The second cover that I bought I put on my leather couch to cut down on dust covering it and the non-slip underside is not too abrasive so the leather is not compromised.

This is the 4th bed protector for pets I’ve purchased. My doodle has a gland problem that flares up every so often…you do not want that on your bed. This cover is by far the best I’ve ever had. It is waterproof. It is pretty and soft ( others are too stiff and hard to wash). It can be washed in a washing machine but I never dry it. It’s not that heavy after a wash so I just clip a pant hanger to both ends and hang it on the shower pole; takes less than half a day to hang dry. It stands up to my 80+ pound doodles long, thick nails. I got the pink for a queen size bed. It’s a pretty color and both my doodle and I like the feel of the material. The only con: it is too short on the sides for a queen bed. It hangs off but not enough to cover the sides of my queen 14’ mattress. But that wouldn’t keep me from purchasing this again. I think it’s a good value in terms of function, quality, and durability ( I’ve had it for a while now and it still looks and feels new).

This works great! Definitely waterproof and stain proof. The rubber backing holds it in place, doesn’t slide off when my two Boykins jump up and down and wiggle all over it. I live on a lake and the dogs are constantly in and out of the water! Saves my bedspread and shams from dirt, dog hair and wet dogs! Easily washers and no wrinkles! I ordered the largest size so it fits to bottom of the bedspread. My dogs when wet, want to rub along the sides of the bed to dry off, so this prevents the dirt, wet dog transfer on the sides too! NOT navy blue as described, more Williamsburg blue! I didn’t mind that it is lighter in color than described, but some may. This is the only “negative “. Will buy again for family!

I like this design, for some reason this Ameritex Bed cover is better than the other design they have. I purchased another smaller one in Blue with new design and the material seems different, not as waterproof. The only con to these bed covers when washing they do retain water, having it spin a couple of times and drying time longer.

Tldr: decent grip on fabric/material, does prevent liquid from penetrating; not the most comfortable and dimensions are shorter all the way around. Decent if you are on a budget So first with the good: -It holds to the fabric with normal movement, dogs pawing and trying to pull it up will make it move, so it usually stays in place. -The waterproof design does work, but with a lot of saliva it can soak in a little bit still hasn't gone through completely. -I have a Rottweiler and Doberman, they have not tore it up, but I think that's more because of how I taught them not to destroy the sheets. Their claws have torn my sheets before, but they haven't torn through the blanket with their claws. -Lastly, it's not terribly warm under there if it is used over your sheets, but it's not cool either. You will get a little warm if it's over your sheets while you sleep. The bad: -You might have seen the other reviews about the dimensions, and they are right. It's not measured correctly so it doesn't fit right. -If not washed with something like borax or something like a laundry sanitizer it can smell a little even after washing. I think it's mostly with their saliva and stomach fluid, but the other stuff like urine and water/drinks or wet snacks seem to bead up on it and don't penetrate and don't leave a smell after a wash. -Dogs sometimes don't like the feel of it, but it is likely just mood or temperature. It's smooth to touch but has a sort of rough comforter/sofa protector feel to it. Not the best but it's not like burlap. The biggest because in my opinion is the size, because you aren't going to get the coverage you think you will. I had originally bought a smaller one for a sofa and it was a little smaller than I ordered but it still fit with extra. So it would have been 4 stars if it was just that, but I ordered a larger one for my new bed and the dimensions were noticeably shorter. It was the 82x82 on a king size bed, and it barely reaches the edge of the sides. I don't pull it up to the pillows but if it's already just under the width, it would be the same in the length. So it gets 3.

I got these for my white couch as I have 2 puppies we are potty training. I’ve purchased multiple different couch protectors & these are by far the best! They are waterproof & have protected my couch from SO many accidents. I recommend buying a large size so you can tuck them around the cushions (& don’t have to re-tuck/fix them every time ppl/pets sit on the couch).
