This trip lever was made for my particular toilet American Standard tank. The lever had a 45-degree bend to it so modifying a generic lever doesn't work well. Although made from plastic, the lever fit well and is doing its job.

I am not handy, but when it was time to replace the toilet handle I was able to research this product and confirm it was the correct replacement. The handle looks nice and it was easy to install. My only complaint is that the lever seems to be made of a cheap plastic and I don't think it will last as long as it should. ... show more

I changed this out because mine had developed a squeak. I did not realize just how important the way the lever works is to how well the toilet flushes. We had a few clogged bowls. Now with the new lever we are back to being care free and the plunger is back in the basement.

This is a pricey and flimsy but necessary part of my toilet. I'm actually criticizing the part that this replaced. I think it should be possible to provide a flush lever that doesn't disintegrate over time. But, this unit did fit and flushing is now almost(!) routine. Unfortunately, I think that the rest of the toilet tank guts may need replacing. The rubber seal that should stop the toilet filling isn't reliable. I have to sometimes jiggle this brand new handle. Other than that, when it does flush, this low flow American Standard toilet is outstanding. I'l lput up with the mediocre control system for the superior toilet bowl emptying that this toilet delivers. ... show more
