I had bought some aftermarket thicker dark gray silicone flaps but it did not fix my problem of the toilet leaking all the time out of the tank. I said to heck with it and bought this for $35 installed it and it works great and it does not leak anymore I can't understand why the only thing I can imagine is the plastic parts of the flappers were warped or something like that. This vormax toilet started leaking after only 11 months purchased brand new of course. Anyway so far so good we'll see how long these last.

These double flaps are the official replacement kit for the American Standard Optum VorMax Toilet. I have replaced these flaps myself on several of our toilets and it’s a very easy DIY task. This flap kit solves issues like flushing problems and tank draining. I recommend replacing the float valve mechanism while you’re in there (Fluidmaster valve kits are cheap and sold everywhere). Save yourself the cost of a plumber and do it yourself!

Although expensive, the parts and silcone flappers work. I had just reviewed the 4 pack silicon flapper parts from China X003K562ZP and 2 of the 4 leaked. I had two toilets of the same age, that required new seals and fortunately, I had ordered the full American Standard replacement, paid the price, but with the proliferation of cheap knockoffs, one can say, when you are doing plumbing, you want parts that work. These work.

Our super flusher 5000 as we refer to it is flushing better than when it was new. Anyone who can turn off the valve and mop up the water in the tank can handle this repair. I would say 10-12 minutes tops. When you remove the cinch pin, be careful not to drop it. Otherwise, very simple!

This component fixed a continuous leaking and poor flushing performance for this toilet. If the problem persists I recommend buying a new toilet entirely and getting rid of this unreliable mechanism. I find that it tends to fall Out of "time" and fails to flush on a montly basis.

When I moved into my new home, one of the bathroom had this installed. On the first night we kept hearing flushing and come to find out this part had failed and was constantly wasting water. My first water bill was well over $400. The plastic which makes the seal can bubble after a certain period of which lets water escape. Sadly it can only be replaced with the same part. So out of luck on that one.
