  • LaRue who? save $50! Buy ADM!
**mar 21,2017 update below** An excellent, rock solid mount for AR type rifles. Excellent quality, very well made and smooth in operation. Slightly heavier than the very lightest mounts available but not too heavy. Well worth the xtra bucks over the typical lower quality and featureless mounts in the sub-$100 range and night & day difference over the low quality quick detach mounts in the sub-$50 class. Most of those are designed for airsoft guns btw. I know they seem decent but they are made from inferior materials and are not properly heat treated. Dont waste your money on those! This ADM is the REAL thing! The American Defense AD recon 30 std is very well made and finished with a good looking, durable anodizing that matches my FN AR-15 perfectly. It mounted my Primary Arms 1-8× 24 mm ACSS scope quickly, easily and securely. A very good optic btw. The mount is designed to allow for variations in scope and rail tolerances and provides rock solid and repeatable mounting. The quick detach lever clamps are spring loaded making removal/reinstallation fast and positive and the levers have a smart, secure and easy to use locking system. The tension adjustments are fast and easy to adjust allowing 8) positions per revolution. My rear lever is either slightly too tight or too loose depending on how ive adjusted it however. I expect it will loosen up with time though. This mount wont chew up your rails like some do. A great design. The mount has just about perfect eye relief for my application and height above rail is ideal for my setup. It just does clear my Magpul MBUS rear sight when folded with about 1/8" (3mm for you infidels) to spare. This is perfect for a good cheek weld but does crowd the charging handle a bit with my preferred mount location as all mounts of this height will. Also my front sight frame is quite visible and prominent at 1-3x with this mount height and my scope. It dissapears above 3x however and doesnt really affect me anyway as i use this scope like a red-dot/reflex,illuminated at 1x and then crank to 8x for everything else. After mounting up my first trip to my local indoor 25 meter range saw my groups shrink to 1/8" for 3-rounds .Return to zero seems 100%. As good as any quick detach mount out there. Ill hit the 100-800 meter range as soon as weather clears here in Atlanta. Ill update with any pertinent info if necessary. Overall an excellent product and one i fully and highly recommend. Theres no need to spend more, this is one of the best quick detach mounts on the market and $50 less than compareable products. No complaints, only praise. Extremely highly recommended! **update** I bought another 1 for my excellent Primary Arms 4-14x ACSS R-grid scope I also just ordered. The 2nd mount is exactly like the 1st. Simply superb and the best bargain in USA produced mounts available. ... show more

  • I am glad I did and this is now my go-to
I now order these for every scope I put on. This is my third. I have tried a few others and thought it was time to spend a little more money for a nicer mount for a nicer scope. I am glad I did and this is now my go-to. I have had several of the Burris mounts, and while they are ok for the money, these are a huge step up in quality. They are beefy and rock solid. I'm not sure why it took me so long to try these out. They are popular with the precision guys. I will be replacing all my mounts with these in the coming months. It sits high enough to clear rear BUIS on an AR and forward enough to get good eye relief. These and LaRue and the highest quality single piece mounts I have seen. The QD locks down good and tight. It is adjustable in case your rails are a little out of spec. Great mount and I am glad I went this route. ... show more

  • Good scope mount
Definitely a good mount hold solid and strong. Easy to mount the scope and easy to mount on the rifle. It’s expensive but definitely worth it for a solid mount. You can’t hold any zero with crap equipment. Definitely solid!!

  • Fantastic mount - ideal for your AR, tactical or long range.
This mount is fantastic. I have attached, removed and attached several times and it consistently holds zero. The mount is strong, not particularly heavy and very well made. It is 30mm. The vertical arrangement for the scope mounting screws means you can't lap the mounts like you might for mounts that have caps that sit on the top. But I used my precision lapping bar and found the rings were already perfect. You can adjust the tension on the mount levers so that they are firm, yet still easy to quick detach without any tools. Really happy with this mount and will definitely be getting another. ... show more

  • Great product.
This mount works great. Got it for a primary arms 1x8x24 and it works as it should. Included is the allen key and locktite along with mount etc. After I unscrewed the ring mounts and installed the scope it first held the scope but very loosely. I tried tightening using the "X" style to tighten evenly yet it still was held loosly. I then loosened the top screws and tightened the lower screws and there it began to tighten securely. Just incase anyone else may end up just as I have, tighten the bottom screws first and at the same time leaving the top screws not as tight. After the scope feels secure then continue to tighten the top screws. The quick release tabs is a bit on the smaller side and for me I have a little difficulty releasing them both but more so the front tab. Tension I have set it for is not super tight but moderate so it holds and still have a little diffulculty using the release tabs however, I dont think Ill be removing the mount often. Overall great product and feels solid and smooth. ... show more

  • Legitimate ADM Product
It's a legit ADM product, and as such, is of exceptional quality. Great QD levers that you'd expect from ADM. Includes allen wrenches, a couple stickers, and a nice tube of Vibratite. Had to hunt a bit for torque specs for the rings. They are 20-25 in/lb OR whatever your scope mfg recommends. Starting from the bottom bolts first. Tighten everything loosely, then snug up the bottoms, and torque them to spec. Then torque the top bolts to spec. As noted in their online manual (not included in box) the bottoms should be torqued first, and the tops will have a small gap even after applying the correct torque. Make sure to apply vibratite to all these bolts. The QD tightness is self explanatory on how to adjust. Great product, very happy. ... show more

  • The lowest price unit of this quality The lowest price unit of this quality
I just received it and placed it on my m4 platform and put the scope in it but did not tighten it down yet, will check everything and add details later. I'm writing only a 4 star as it is not as pictured and that really gets me going. Its not a 39.99 scope ring set its a lot of money even though its less than other name brands, it should be pictured and described as it is, not like it was in previous models or another stock photo. At first look everything seems to be robust. the adjustment screws on back side of levers are better than in the picture but, its a 4 screw not 6 which is fine by me since I am using it with 556. Had I been purchasing it for my Scout Squad 7.62 I would rather have the 6 screw version, so beware if you want a more robust scope set up this one is not quite as pictured. It clamps up as it seems like it will have very little space between the ring halves. I barely have it tight enough to move scope easy by hand and there seems to be very little gap left for me to use to tighten it up after final fit and adjustment, that make me nervous, I should not have to surface grind the halves to make more room between the halves.. If so, I will return it. It mounts the scope low and does leave room for my BUIS back site, about the same height as the cheap cantelever mount that came with my scope. It appearrs to be well made and my hope is that it goes back to zero each time I take it off. It is the easiest throw lever mount to adjust! no tools of any kind. very clever, just push out and adjust nut ine face at a time. very kool!!!Check the distance on the web site between the rings if you have a short scope like mine that has a front bell that is bigger than the tube. If you have a straight tube then you should be fine. There is 4.5" between the rings and my scope just barely fit between the Ocular and Objective bells and I had to go forward one notch on reciever rail from my other scope mount to leave room for my rear site on the receiver rail. Not a problem though, actually makes me lean into it more and get a better cheek weld, I like that its forward a bit more than my other scope mount. I'll add more after I final fit and shoot it. Follow up: It tightens down good with just a minimal ammount of gap at the top. Nice, too bad they could not produce these for a bit less i would buy three more.. It is the lowest prics mount for quality mounts . Every other mount is not as good and too high priced. ... show more

  • Rock Solid Optic Mount Rock Solid Optic Mount
I decided to replace my personal M4’s EOtech with a Primary Arms 1-6 ACSS to make shooting at longer ranges easier. Great scope, by the way, I wish I’d had one in the military. The ADM mount is every bit as good as the Larue mounts I’ve used in the past. The mount puts the front A2 sight in the bottom half sight picture on 1-3 magnification, past that it disappears. The QD levers need to be fine tuned to your rail, mine were too tight to close so I had to back the nuts off slightly, it comes with instructions how to do it. Once mounted it is rock solid, and seems very resistant to abuse. Looks great on my M4. On a side note, I have the Matech BUIS and it barely has enough room to stow away under the scope’s eyepiece, but it does clear. Very pleased with this mount, if I build another AR I will use this again. Edit: Military issue Matech BUIS does not fully clear. Noticed finish marring on my scope so I replaced with a Magpul rear BUIS. Clears the eyepiece and you can see a gap between the two pieces. ... show more
