I blend the beans and use a pour over method to produce the best results. The roast level may appear to be a little darker on the medium side but the oil level from the beans is barely visible indicating a good roasting level control. If you like your coffee light, bright and somewhat acidic, you will like this. I love trying new coffees and I use light beans to balance my brew if I have a roast that is too dark. This was inexpensive so I thought I would try it. It is not my favorite light roast. I much prefer the Starbucks Veranda. You might like it ... show more

The quality of this coffee is up there with much more expensive beans. I am a coffee snob and I think these beans are up there with any of the gourmet brands I have tried. The only problem is that it is often unavailable. I buy a lot of coffee.

I have been a big coffee connoisseur (whew, good thing Alexa could spell that for me) and I do like a bold coffee, the stronger the better! If you're curious about that, the bolder coffees are much better for asthmatics like myself. Anyway I've tried out MANY different brands of bold coffee and yes even Starbucks coffee beans as well. Amazon sells several different bold coffee beans and it just so happens, when I try others I keep coming back to this one! We normally get the Victor Allen whole-bean Kona blend coffee, but there have been supply issues lately. This Columbian coffee is a worthy back-up, good flavor, not too strong but not weak, at a good price. Juan Valdez would be proud.

My husband loves coffee, but struggles with the acidity so we try to buy light roast coffee beans. Living in a small community, it rare to find them locally. I thought I would give this a shot, but was worried about the freshness. Not to worry! It was fresh, as you can tell by the bloom in the French Press and it tastes fine for a light roast (just don't expect the rich taste you get from a darker roast). We love this whole bean light roast coffee. IMO whole bean light roast coffee is surprisingly difficult to find most places. 1 star off for Amazon shipping, which sent this coffee in a flimsy bag that obviously had something dropped on it which made the coffee bag open EVERYWHERE in the mailing bag and subsequently in my living room. This review would be longer except I need to vacuum up all the sad coffee beans. :( ... show more
