In the picture, it shows the ball being translucent. The item I got was of a SOLID color. The upside is that the color still matched what I needed so I kept them. I'm still a bit disappointed though. Why not just take a picture of the actual product and show it. Don't understand the misleading advertising. I guess so that people like me buy it thinking one thing and end up keeping it because they can either, make it work, or don't want the hassle of returning it. ... show more

I like this product because they have a good variety to choose from. I just bought an new home and have to redo all the windows with new blinds and curtains. Of course each room will have a color theme, and there are lots of end attachments to choose from. All are made of sturdy materials even the screws so they won't strip. Takes me about 10 minutes to hang the rod. Since I have 14 windows, I have the process down and do it the same each time. ... show more

These rods are gorgeous! They are also very secure and sturdy! The sides have a small extra screw that can be tightened once the curtains are up. This will stop the entire rod from coming down on your head if you pull too hard/unevenly on the curtains. I am disabled and have had too many rods slip loose from the bracket over the years to not think this was a really bright idea! They are super cost effective, come with great hardware, and they have a wide variety of finials to match all sorts of decor! ... show more

This is about what you'd expect for a $10 curtain rod. It is made of aluminum or something similarly lightweight. If you do not need to extend it at all, it should work fine but once you extend it, it becomes a problem. If you see in my photo, the rods don't fit tightly, so the center sags badly. The other reason I didn't rate this product well is because the screw holes are so close to where the hook is for the curtain rod that it's almost impossible to use a standard electric screw driver to install, so don't plan on screwing this into a stud. The hardware that came with it worked fine though except one wall anchor came a bit bent already so I had to replace it with one of my own. All that being said, when the curtain is shut, it's harder to tell that the center dips. Also, the glass balls on the ends are adorable. I haven't decided if I'm keeping it or not. I am disappointed because Amazon Basics usually comes through for me. ... show more

The picture looks a little more red but they are hot pink worked perfectly with Minnie Mouse. Easy to install and my 2 year old has already tried pulling them down. They are durable!

I’ve used many curtain rods over the years and they’ve all been so-so...quality and design isn’t great but they do the job. These rods, however, are as cute as the photos and very sturdy. The finials have a nice heft to them so the rod doesn’t slide as often with each pull of the curtain. Simple installation with all hardware included. I will be replacing more curtain rods with these in the future ... show more

Hopefully you can see the turquoise finials. The rods worked out perfectly for this purpose. I did not install the hardware for it to sit in, rather used ribbon to hang. The color was rich, rods sturdier than i expected.
