  • Six months of use and still love this case
Color: Black
This case fits perfectly and I feel like it is definitely worth the cost. The pen loop holds the pen snuggly so I don't worry it will slip off. It has held up very well over the six months since I purchased it, still looks like new. Easy to grab and hold also.

  • I'm Just Glad it Arrived
Color: Burgundy
I purchased the Amazon Kindle Scribe leather folio cover as part of a bundle. Almost a month after ordering and numerous date changes for arrival, I received the case. It looks like it was a return. The box was creased and torn where the opening tab was. That was a slight disappointment and a concern. I wonder if there was supposed to be something in the box that wasn't there? With that said, the folio case holds the Kindle in place securely enough that, I don't worry it will fall out with normal use. The case is very thin, very light, and looks very sleek. I don't like the big Kindle embossed on the front of the folio case, I'd rather that be on the back of the case somewhere preferably in small letters. I guess I overlooked that when I made my selection. I do like the angles the case provide for writing and reading. After two and a half, almost three weeks with no protection for the device, I decided I'm happy it arrived and I have something protect my investment. How well its going to hold up over time I cannot say. I see that the leather scratches easily, I inadvertently brushed my fingernail (I have natural short nails) across the cover reaching for the stylus and I see it made a scratch mark, I was able to rub it out a little but I can still see where my fingernail brushed across it. I guess I can say it has a weathered look now. ... show more

  • Perfect lightweight cover
Color: Black
Ordered used for the discount, but it looked as good as new when it arrived! Scribe is already on the heavier side, so wanted a case that would add as little weight as possible. Sturdy well made cover that's lightweight and minimal. Magnets are strong enough to make it feel comfortably attached to the device but it's also very easy to remove when you want to. Very happy with the purchase and worth the premium cost. ... show more

  • Expensive but looks and feels great
Color: Black
This is a nice folio cover for my scribe. I love the look and the pen holder is nice and snug. It is held on only by magnets so when trying to open under the covers it sometimes slips off and is a pain to put back on in the dark. This could have been solved with small straps on the corners holding the Kindle in place. The retail price is way too high for this cover but buying "used like new" was more tolerable (that's how I got mine). I take my scribe to church with me as I like my bible from "kindle unlimited" and with the scribe its easy to get around quickly between passages. I needed a cover that looks good and this is great for that. ... show more

  • The nearly perfectly designed cover for the Kindle Scribe
Color: Black
I don’t understand all the low ratings for this cover. Form follows function in good design; and the function of this cover is spot on for the Kindle Scribe. I would imagine objective #1 was to make it as light as possible—because this is the largest and heaviest Kindle to date—which thy did as near-perfect as I could imagine: you’ll be hard pressed to find a Scribe case, of any style or form, that is lighter than this case—I know, because I’ve tried. Due to that lightness objective you’re going to have thin covers of leather, not thick, weighty ones. Also, the leather covers can’t be supple because the rigidity is needed for the stand functionality. In addition, with the drawing and writing functionality of the Scribe, you want unhindered access to the full screen and edges, especially the sides, which this cover allows for fully. There are no protruding edges or sleeves that hold the Kindle, like most, if not all, other cover options. The only thing I may have a less than stellar comment on is the looped pen holder. I say “may” because for now I’m neutral on it. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet and give it a thorough evaluation; because I prefer the magnetic attachment option on the side. I’ve looked at another faux leather case, that would be more in line with what most people probably think of when looking for a leather case. This official Scribe cover is a much better design: lighter, a perfect fit, zero hinderance to the writing surface—this other case had a framed sleeve the Kindle fit in to, which could cause accessibility issues to the out edges of the screen. All-in-all, I see this as near-perfect of a cover as is available for the Scribe. UPDATE (6/16/23) The design is still perfect, but wanted to report that the edges, where the leather is bonded to the gray case shell, has just started to peel away in a spot. Another reviewer had noted this. I’ll report back if it continues. For reference, I use my scribe just about every day; usually multiple times a day. ... show more

  • Critical product flaw: pen loop loosens over time
Color: Black
tl;dr it's a decent case if you are gentle with it and don't use the pen loop. IMO it's overpriced for what it is given the limitations and that it doesn't completely function as advertised. Pros: - Looks decent/branding is minimal - The folio itself looks like it will hold up for a while Cons: - The folio is attached with weak magnets and provides little protection to the Kindle since it doesn't fit snugly and the corners aren't well protected - The pen loop is made out of leather, which stretches over time. I learned this the hard way when my premium pen flew out into a river while opening the case to read (note: Amazon did the right thing and is sending a pen replacement). Maybe in future iterations of the folio, they'll use a different material for the loop that doesn't stretch? ... show more
