The Amazon Fire smart TV comes in several sizes. This review is for the 50 inch model. The TV is very light weight and easy to handle. A quick installation of the steel legs and the TV is ready to go. The legs that function like a built in stand are heavy duty one piece steel so the TV sits firmly. The initial set up can not be easier but updates did take a few minutes. After the initial set up and updates, each time the TV starting up takes no time. There is no bloatware and no lags. Linking to Amazon account can be done via a cell phone or by the remote. Downloading popular apps such as YouTube is also fast. Using voice or Alexa is also easy and straight forward. The remote is simple, easy to use, and also takes voice. Sharp Omni 4K image, HDRIO+, Dolby vision and sound, a simple easy to use remote, and the friendly Alexa eco system makes this TV a great value. I only use Alexa when I want to be hands free. But the TV works just as well without using Alexa. Not only with super sharp image and contrast, the sound of this TV is so great I do streaming without external speakers with this. Other than being a great TV, I am also using this as a monitor. There are four HDMI ports on this TV, one 2.1 and three 2.0. A live HDMI connection is automatically detected on the INPUT setting. So setting INPUT is a no brainer. The settings such as display and sound are also easily controlled with the remote. This works very well with my laptop which is a Lenovo. Having a 50 inch as a monitor allows me to open more windows without using dual monitors. And the high resolution and sharp image on the TV enables using this as a monitor. I will mention that the legs placement is on the outer most corners or the TV. So in order to accommodate the TV as a free standing unit, the desk or TV stand need to be at least 11 inch wide and 44 inch long for a solid placement. As a TV, the quad core processor is plenty fast for all the apps I use. When used as a 50 inch monitor for my laptop, there is no lags in syncing and really zero complaint at this price. Again, great value all around and an excellent choice to meet all my needs.

Arrived well packaged and cared for. Very easy to setup and get functional. The width of the feet if you will be using them is quite wide considering the TV size. They also are at an angle so the measurements given are a little misleading as well. Make sure you double check it is going to fit for you. This is the only real complaint I can find on day 1. This 50" is replacing a 55" that was plenty sturdy and had a far more reasonable footprint. It won't even fit on the same dresser...not even close. Everything else seems intuitive, useful and simple in the best ways. No lag, no web issues. Sound is on par, if not a little better than average for the built in audio. This is very lightweight. I appreciate that as well. Quite easy to manipulate even with my bad back. Oh, and the remote is pretty well laid out, but no backlight is a bummer. When will manufacturer's give us this simple feature??? (Looking at more than just you Amazon) Not much to brag about, nor to complain about. A very well rounded offering at a pretty reasonable price. (As others mentioned, no real bloatware as most can be deleted and removed if you do not want it. Mic can be turned off.)

The media could not be loaded. My husband and I were impressed with this TV the moment of unboxing. First of all, this TV is super lightweight, ultra-thin and sleek in its appearance. It arrived boxed and packed very well with very little to unpack: The TV with 2 small bags that included the legs and the remote. There are 2 ways to enjoy this television: use the legs to sit on a console or hang on the wall. When we first unpacked it, we set it up on the legs and then later moved onto the wall brace. Either way the TV looks amazing. Set-up was super simple and fast. Amazon has mastered the process to set up making it as easy as possible with a hassle-free way to customize your television App selections. You have the choice of using Alexa voice control or the remote that’s included. We chose the remote. Throughout the setup, everything went smoothly and there was no lag time during this process – it took less than 5 minutes. Once we had our channels and Apps set up, it was time to check out the picture quality. The 4K Ultra HD picture has a crisp, sharp resolution with amazing color contrasts from lights and darks and vivid bright colors. Get ready for an amazing television experience! This TV offers the latest HD technology with an enhanced processor for smooth channel changing , faster response times, outstanding picture quality and App processing. The 55” screen is the perfect size for our family room ….. it’s just beautiful! It’s an ultra-thin, super sleek, modern style that looks amazing in the room. When it’s not in use, beautiful Artscape images fill the screen. To enjoy the full scope of the HDR10+ experience, I clicked on the Amazon Prime App and chose an animated movie. I was blown away by the spectacular picture and sound. The screen came alive with gorgeous images that were mesmerizing. The contrasts of lights and darks, the beautiful bright colors plus the movie theatre sound… the experience is beyond what I expected. The picture just came alive and seemed to jump right off the screen! No sound bar is needed as the Dolby audio is rich and clear for a more immersive experience. There are several ports available, and they are easy to access. I took a photo of the side of the TV showing all of the ports. In my opinion, this television is exceptional in picture quality, sound quality, and overall design. It’s easy to set up and doesn’t require a paid tech guy to do it for you. Plus, it’s lightweight making it manageable to lift or set in place. This arrived fast – we received just over 2 days after ordering. When I compared this television that has the HDR10+ 4K Ultra Smart technology with another TV in our house, the contrast was unbelievable! This is a phenomenal TV with lightning fast response time with an exceptional picture and sound quality. The value is unreal for all you get! I will highly recommend this TV over and over again to anyone looking to upgrade. Lastly, I took several photos in an effort to properly show all of the features: the ultra thin profile; how it looks with the legs and also mounted on the wall; the remote; and of course a short video featuring the beautiful picture and sound quality. This Amazon Fire TV has it all!
