Great tablet
Digital Storage Capacity: 32 GB Color: Disney Mickey Mouse Offer Type: Fire HD 8 Kids
This tablet is perfect for our son. He treats electronics rough, but with the case and durability of this one it has a lasted much longer than his other tablets. The screen is very clear, and easy for kids to use. Not too heavy my son can carry it on his own and loves the red color of the case. He has found all his fav apps on it and loves using it. ... show more

Perfect Kids Tablet – Durable, Safe, and Packed with Fun!
Digital Storage Capacity: 32 GB Color: Disney Princess Offer Type: Fire HD 8 Kids
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids tablet is absolutely fantastic for younger children. It’s designed so well with kids in mind—tough, colorful, and super easy for little hands to use without worry. The included kid-proof case is a lifesaver. It makes the tablet feel really sturdy and protected against drops (which definitely happen a lot with kids). I also love the peace-of-mind 2-year worry-free guarantee—it makes this feel like a truly risk-free purchase. The parental controls are one of my favorite features. I can easily manage screen time, approve content, and set limits without it being complicated or stressful. It gives kids freedom to explore while still keeping things safe and age-appropriate. There’s also a huge library of books, games, videos, and learning apps through Amazon Kids+, so there’s always something fun and educational for them to do. The battery life is solid too, lasting through plenty of playtime and travel. Overall, this is hands-down one of the best tablets for kids. Durable, easy to use, and packed with great content. I would definitely recommend it to any parent! ⭐️ ... show more

UPDATED REVIEW: 1-star to 3-star
Digital Storage Capacity: 32 GB Color: Blue Offer Type: Fire HD 8 Kids
2nd UPDATE: I had to change my rating to 5 stars because the tablet has been great since my last review update. No complaints at all. The sound quality isn't exceptional but for a little kid, it's more than good enough. It's easy for a parent to switch back and forth between kids and adult modes, which is nice. I would recommend to anyone else who buys this not to test it out until it's charged and has had a few hours to update or "warm up," if you will. I'm overall happy with the purchase. UPDATE: After charging the tablet to above 15%, it seems to be working much better. Apps will now load and I am able to download videos. Screen resolution is actually better than expected. I've decided to give this tablet a chance for a couple days before returning it. I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 due to the fact it was initially extremely slow and unresponsive, which can lead many more people into thinking it's just not going to work. If it craps out again, I'll update my review accordingly. (Initial review)* I took a chance on this tablet after reading the reviews, thinking perhaps the people who left negative reviews just didn't know what they were doing. Turns out they were all right....this tablet is crap. It's incredibly slow and the apps don't respond when you try to open them or download a game/video. I'm sending it back today. Save yourself the same hassle and just buy an android tablet. ... show more

Good for price
Digital Storage Capacity: 32 GB Color: Purple Offer Type: Fire HD 8 Kids
This is an updated review from a few weeks ago. I’d say this tablet is pretty fast and is great for the price. It’s not as fast as a some other brands, but it’s also significantly cheaper. It started out very fast, but slowed quite a bit once my kid downloaded just a few simple games from the Amazon Kids app. I submitted a review that was 3 stars (initial review below), and Amazon customer service reached out to me within 1-2 days! They suggested I update it (it’s crazy that it needed an update already, since we had just got it), which did significantly speed up operations. So, if you frequently update it and reset it (by holding down the power button until the unit shuts down) then it will operate reasonably fast when using the Amazon kids app, but will be very glitchy and slow if you don’t. After this latest update, I am even more convinced that the tablet itself is pretty good, but when using the Amazon app, it slows down. I have another Amazon tablet that’s a few years old and the Amazon kids app slows it down, as well, but hasn’t yet caused the freezing and other glitches that I have experienced with this tablet. All in all - I’d buy this one again. Is it the perfect tablet and the one I’d prefer to have? No. But I’m not going to pay 3-7x the price for a faster brand (at least not for my kid) ;-). ***My initial review: It started incredibly fast, but it very quickly slowed down as soon as a few low data games, etc were downloaded. It is very glitchy and freezes frequently. It could be that it’s the Amazon Kids app and not the tablet itself, but my guess is it’s a mix of both being subpar. I bought it during prime day, so I’d say for that price it’s still worth it for a 5 -6 year old who isn’t super tech savvy. But for any older kid familiar with technology, this would probabe too slow. I don’t think I’d pay full price for it. ... show more

Amazon does honor the warranty on these
Digital Storage Capacity: 32 GB Color: Blue Offer Type: Fire HD 8 Kids
Amazon does not honor their warranty. After my son's tablet stopped working and will not power on, I submitted a ticket for it. The only available action was to look at tech support articles. I've tried everything, but it just won't turn on. It is really just a cheap tablet that you could buy for a fraction of the cost and put a case on. Nothing special, the real reason for the extra cost is the security of knowing if your little one breaks it within 2 years, they will replace it. Obviously that is not the case. Don't waste your money. ***UPDATE*** To recieve warranty service for the 2 year worry free warranty you have to contact customer service. You cannot return it from your orders page. After contacting customer service they did honor their warranty ... show more

Great parental control
Digital Storage Capacity: 64 GB Color: Purple Offer Type: Fire HD 8 Kids
I got this tablet for my 3yr old daughter and I'm in love with it! The picture quality is great. The set up is very easy and the tablet walks you through the set up process. I love the preloaded games as they are perfect for learning and playing along. This tablet comes with a charging USB to USB c cord and a charging cube. The screen is big, you can adjust the font size and the screen moves with the your first touch (so no more getting angry for the screen not recognizing your touch). The best thing about this tablet though is the amazing parental controls. I can set a timer for screen use and permission is sent to the parent account before downloading unauthorized content. There is so much more but I am still learning all the features and the amazon kids + makes no wifi areas even more enjoyable. Can't go wrong with this tablet, great buy. ... show more
