This medium size shirt fits like is custom made for me. The color is listed as navy, but it is really the exact royal blue I had hoped for (as seen worn in the picture). The 100 percent cotton still smells OK even after sweating in Summer heat.

Got this for my son, and he really liked it. The material wasn't too thick/thin, but it seemed to be sturdy enough for multiple wears. It didn’t shrink or fade when washed, even when used warm/hot water, and it seems to be a great value for the money. It runs a little bit big - not baggy, but definitely enough room to move without it being restrictive. Had a business/casual appearance, and pairs nicely with jeans, slacks, or basically anything. ⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (3 stars) I’ve bought several Amazon Essentials polos over time, both cotton and quick dry, and they are usually a great value. This one misses the mark where it counts, the color. I ordered an XL slim in “Navy,” but what showed up is clearly royal or cobalt blue. Not even close. That distinction matters. Navy is versatile and works across a wide range of situations, while royal or cobalt blue is more limited and harder to style, at least for me. To make the difference obvious, I included a comparison photo. On the left is an actual Navy Amazon Essentials quick dry polyester polo I already own. In the middle is this cotton “Navy,” which is really royal or cobalt blue. On the right is a Navy short sleeve polyester button up from another brand. Side by side, the contrast is clear. That said, the shirt fits well, true to size, and is comfortable. For reference, I am currently between a Large and XL, and the XL slim fits nicely. It looks more tailored than baggy without being tight. A Large regular would likely be just a bit too snug for me right now. I decided to keep it. At this price point, the time and effort to return it would cost more than the shirt itself. What is especially confusing is that I also have an Amazon Essentials long sleeve cotton Oxford in “Navy” that is spot on, so this feels like a consistency miss. I bought these in several colors. The fabric is soft and top quality. They don’t fade in the washer, and come out of the dryer ready to wear. The fabric breathes and is great for hot weather.

An XL from some other brands (not all) can be a bit too large for me (though can look decent as part of a "relaxed look" with slightly oversized shorts), but this Amazon Essentials XL fit me perfectly. Not too large, but not too small either. I'm 5'10", 195 lbs. Not fat not lean. Average shoulder width. XL is great and quite comfortable. I originally purchased this shirt in both the blue stripe and olive green colors, ordering an extra small in each. Although both shirts are labeled as the same size, there is a noticeable difference in fit. The olive green shirt fits perfectly and appears true to size, while the blue striped shirt is significantly larger and does not fit nearly as well. That said, the quality of the shirts is excellent, and I really like them for work. My only disappointment is the inconsistency in sizing. I had planned to purchase additional shirts, but I’m hesitant because I’m not confident they will fit as expected. I’m not sure whether this was a one-time manufacturing issue or a more common problem, but I hope the sizing can be made more consistent in the future. ... show more
