The "size" on these compared to the same size in other brands is very small. At least 2 sizes smaller and possibly more. Ordered 2 or 3 various essentials size 40s and they were all too small. This is the ONLY type of product I've ever not been 100% happy with from the essentials line (to this point at least). I still gave them a 4/5 rating because they seem like really nice shorts... and I gave them to stepson and they have lasted him as expected.

Fit just a little small. Overall seem like fine shorts, texture is good and has a small pattern that is also fine. Seems a bit too wrinkly after a couple washes. This could obviously be my washer settings as I just wash it with all my other clothes. I am overall happy with the product.

First, they fit just right for my size (30), I can wear them without a belt and they don't end up barely hanging on , hood style. the fabric is not too heavy for summer wear, and not too light either, it also feels like it's brushed , soft and smooth, sorta like brushed denim. I took 1 star off because the waist button doesn't feel like it's attached very well, it'll likely be the first thing to go, a few more stitches and I'd be hard pressed to find a fault. A+ for the price though..

Nice pair of cotton shorts at a good price. If you're a size 34 though take note. Too small. Returned for a 36 and guess what - they're too big. Of course a size 35 would have been perfect but no luck there as its not offered. Run small as everyone has noted.

Overall, the short are great if you want some casual, very orange pants. I feel images don't do just but they are very orange. This can be good or bad, but I was hoping it wasn't as bright.

I bought a pair of these in light blue when they happened to be $14.00. They fit well, so I decided to get another pair in olive green when that color was listed at $18.00. This pair is also true to size. I really like these shorts and will probably get another pair, as long as they don't jack up the price. If I catch them when they're less than twenty bucks, I'll probably buy two more pairs.

This is a good value for everyday werar and casual, perhaps not as durable as I would like for outside work. Then too, I have discovered I really like the comfort waist (expandable) which, unfortunately these do not have.
