First, they fit just right for my size (30), I can wear them without a belt and they don't end up barely hanging on , hood style. the fabric is not too heavy for summer wear, and not too light either, it also feels like it's brushed , soft and smooth, sorta like brushed denim. I took 1 star off because the waist button doesn't feel like it's attached very well, it'll likely be the first thing to go, a few more stitches and I'd be hard pressed to find a fault. I bought a pair of these in light blue when they happened to be $14.00. They fit well, so I decided to get another pair in olive green when that color was listed at $18.00. This pair is also true to size. I really like these shorts and will probably get another pair, as long as they don't jack up the price. Today, I have extra empathy for those who wear women’s clothing and wish for larger pockets. The shorts are fine, but the back pockets aren’t big enough to fit an iPhone.

Nice shorts but they fall short of 5 stars due to the buttons. They are a bit of a hassle. I would prefer much faster access to the pockets, especially for grabbing my wallet. Other than that, they are great.

I like that they are not as heavy and bulky as some cargo pants can be, yet the material seems to be a decent quality. The flaps over the pockets tend to curl up after the first wash and dry, even if you button them before laundering, but that seems to be a thing with most of these styles.

These Amazon Basics shorts are well made, and fit perfectly, as expected. They do not have a tech pocket on the cargo pockets, which would be handy. Also, they pockets are button flap, which is a little awkward to get to one handed. Lastly, for the black pair I bought, they seem not to be colour fast, and the black has gone from a deep dark black to that washed out, reddish black.
