Solid Everyday Shorts for Casual Wear and Workouts I bought these Amazon Essentials Men’s Performance Tech Loose-Fit Shorts in medium (from the Big & Tall option), and as a short king mesomorphic male (the kind who proudly rocks a "shmedium" T-shirt), I’m happy with them overall. They do extend slightly past the knee on me, but it’s not a dealbreaker — they still look and feel good. I use them for casual wear on summer evenings, home gym workouts, and lounging around, and they’ve held up well for all of it. The lightweight, breathable fabric feels good, doesn’t stick, and does a solid job of wicking moisture when I’m working out. The drawstring waistband is secure without being restrictive, and they wash and dry easily. Plus, getting two pairs for the price is a great value. Gets the job done. My only complaint is that for some reason a decal is applied on the front of one pant leg, and that it starts to peel off after a few washes. I'd like to see that decal removed as it's useless.

I bought these at the end of last season and ended up loving them--fit, material, and length were all great for bumming around the house or working out at the gym. I liked them so much that once Prime Day hit, I picked up another two pack. Immediately after throwing a pair on, I could see and feel the difference. Material, fit, and length were wildly different from one order to the next. This year's material was more of a mesh, whereas last year it was similar to a performance shirt. Last year's roomy fit has been snugged up, and with that, a shorter length. Two pairs of shorts for $10 is hard to beat, but I personally wouldn't recommend them until they hit that price point. And if you buy them and like them, consider getting a second set before they change the manufacturing/materials.
