Which card design to get is fun but daunting with so many choices. Let’s first break this down into digital versus physical. Simply said, if you are giving a gift in person, don’t settle for the simple card in plain plastic sleeve. For no extra charge, Amazon has truly wonderfully designed boxes. Free! That’s why I chose this diamond plate tin. It works for men or women, and for ANY occasion. I buy this design in advance, keep a couple “in stock” at home and ready to give. This design works for any holiday, any occasion, any taste. When you need a gift in a pinch, or like me, ALMOST forget a birthday: Love the digital version gift cards that get emailed, too. HOWEVER: Be sure to check with your recipient that it was received!! Three times, I have had people either forget about the email containing the gift card, or lose the code. What’s great is that Amazon can re-issue a new digital card and can easily tell the giver if it has been redeemed. So, word of advice, it is NOT tacky to ask if received if you didn’t get the thank you are entitled to in a not so perfect world of imperfect manner. If you actually read this, THANKS! Hope it’s been of some small help if you are deciding which type to order. The “normal” non gift box style has 96,000 + reviews so far. This cooler box style alone has 1,087 reviews and counting. I cannot begin to tell you how much my life has changed after receiving this diamond plate tin box with an Amazon gift card inside. I originally bought it as a gift, but the person I intended to give this too dropped the ball so I decided they no longer deserved a gift... so I kept it for myself. When I touch this box, I feel empowered. I feel like the Gods of Metal are channeling their energy through me, and it gives me the strength I need to achieve everything I've ever dreamed of. Just wait until your friends come over your house and see this brilliantly beautiful tin box on display on your top shelf, all they'll be able to say is "WOW". Everyone is going to want to be your friend... everyone is going to want to be around you... this tin box is your ticket to stardom. Use it as a coaster... use it as a trophy stand.... use it as a tin box... use it to embellish your flux capacitor in your DeLorean... The gift card works. You apply it to your account and have the funds to cover a purchase up to the dollar amount of the value applied to the card. You cannot add to the card, once it's applied to the account, the card is useless as a form of tender. I personally have a tool to make guitar picks from cards like these, so I'll make a couple of guitar picks from this one and give them to the kids. One of the kids loves to play his guitar. The tin in which it arrives has a cutout with a plastic insert so that the warehouse workers know which card to select to fulfill the order, and that does not hinder my using the tin for other things. I actually like to see what's inside the box, just like the Amazon staff I guess.

We all know the Amazon gift card is a crowd pleasing gift. Truth be told though, I have always hoped that Amazon would somehow sweeten the pot to make their gift cards a better buy to purchase. This gift tin is just a way that has been done. The diamond plate design is cool and macho, like a workshop and it makes giving a gift card a bit nicer to present. I have bought a bunch of these. The minor downside is that only even denominations come with a labeled card inside (with the denomination), whereas the other choices for card value are not printed on the card. Overall, these tins are nice additions to the buy-whatever-you-want Amazon gift card.

When getting amazon giftcards, I love the options they have available when it comes to how its presented. The diamond plate gift tin is perfect for lots of people on my list. The only downfall is that they don't have the amount printed on the gift card OR the tin. It's not a huge issue, I just think amazon would've added that by now. When we purchased a bunch as gifts, in different denominations, we had to include a little piece of paper in the tin with the amount on it.... and hope we didn't get them confused during all the chaos that the holiday season brings. hahaha

Standard Amazon gift card in a metal tin with textured diamond plate pattern Tin is reusable, but is not solid on both sizes as there is an rectangular window on back Material is thin and easily bendable if you intentionally use force or throw it hard against the wall or ground Redeeming card is easy. There's a peel off sticker (instead of scratcher), so no need to worry about scratching off the text of the code. If you use the amazon app you can redeem the amount in seconds: click the camera option and align the boxes with the text code. Shipping is ridiculously fast. Can setup for next day delivery for no additional charge

I received this Amazon card for my birthday. What a great one-size-fits-all gift. I used it the same week to buy myself just what I wanted from Amazon. Of course, I could just as well have used it a year or two from now, since these cards, unlike me, have no expiration date. Amazon makes is super easy to enter the lengthy card number into your Amazon account. You can either enter the number manually, or use your smartphone or tablet to scan it in. The nifty little boxes the cards come in are great for holding coins, or other small things. I’ve received Amazon cards several times over the last few years, and I’m always happy to get them.
