Worth every penny and then some. Much better quality than the price led me to think it would be. I spent about an hour stoning some surfaces, cleaning and lubing and it is outstanding. Great fit for the mini mill. Thank you very much.

The gradations on this are not accurate. I knew it wasn't going to be a great boring bad, but I didn't expect it being off as far as it is

    • poor quality
I knew this was going to be a so-so tool. I took it apart and found very sharp edges and burrs. The lead screw threaded hole is oversized so much the lead screw dial end has 0.040 movement vertical and horizontal. Drilled a hole in poly carbonate and made a boring pass then measured. Wanted 0.004 larger diameter so turned dial 0.002 (radius movement) and bored again. New measurement showed the same diameter hole so the bar did not move; I accounted for backlash (is quite a lot). Turned dial a total of 0.005 to get the 0.004 diameter increase. So using the dial is only a poor guide. This is my first boring head (owning or using) so maybe I expected more. It is usable for what I need and I will try to fix it in the future. If you want or need precision spend the money on something else. ... show more

    • Sure isn't equal to a top o' the line tool
The lines on the screw are hard to read accurately because there's a gap between them and the static line and the boring bars are trash, just so you know. Yes, you can get by with it if you're on a budget but I'd recommend a higher end one if you have the means.
