I like this sofa more than expected. It’s fantastic actually. What I did not expect was the brilliant practicality of these wide side-arms and coplanar back. It’s like having a little strip of table-top at all times. I set down my books and devices and keys and chapstick and remotes and wads of tissue - all the time. I love it. The brown leather is beautiful and comfortable. I will say the packaging is a tragic oversight.. When it arrived the box was shredded to pieces - as if it was packed with a velociraptor which’d freed itself exuberantly en-route but miraculously managed not to damage the couch. I was nervous as hell ordering this expensive item with some of the reviews reporting damage so I was thrilled and relieved to somehow receive this beautiful piece unharmed. It's a shame they didn't bother to package it properly. Perfectly good people are spending their hard-earned deflated cash on a beautiful sofa that might arrive slashed. Fix this please! If your sofa arrives safely it’s so worth it but if not, it could be infuriating (the delivery truck nearly sheared the balcony off the front of my house. I have a difficult address) so I would be a rage if I had to go through the return process. ... show more

I was super excited about this couch. I liked that it didn’t have any cushions and it seemed like it would be easy to clean dog fur off of. The back is low which is kind of odd but not terribly uncomfortable. It sits really low to the floor. If I kept it I might try to rig new feet on it or get risers to make it a couple inches higher. It came in a giant box which had a few scrapes in it. I careful inspected those areas and not a scratch on the couch!! I moved it inside my very small cottage (656 sq ft total!) and unboxed it. And to my horror there was a giant dent in the bottom arm area....it felt like the wood was broken. I was so disappointed. And currently have two couches in a tiny living room. It’s a chaotic cluster right now. But the Amazon representatives were so nice and understanding. They’re coming to pick up the broken couch on Monday (it was delivered Thursday) and gave me a full refund. I might order the same couch again (ideally in chestnut...please make it available again!) if I can’t find something else. UPDATE: So I bought this sofa again. And it came with numerous cosmetic defects. But at least it wasn’t broken! I decided to keep it and get a cover, throw pillows and blanket to hide the imperfects. I also bought 2” risers (probably could has gone with 3”) and for me that made it more comfortable. Overall I’m happy with the couch. ... show more

The biggest issue is that there is stitching to make the tufted look, but the stitching was coming out in multiple places. Also, the seat cushion area looks like it has ridges. The fabric is like canvas, so even for my family room, it’s just not “elegant” enough, and I’m not an elegant person. It would be more fitting in a den or basement or playroom. Also, everything adheres to the fabric, and it’s very light, so you see hair, lint, feathers from the pillows, etc. Spots will be very noticeable because of how light the fabric is. The squared off edges don’t make it comfortable to rest your arms, and the low back is no support for your neck. If feels ok at first, but we noticed it while watching a movie. The plus is how deep it is, it was very nice to curl up. ... show more

This sofa is very well made, I'm 6"2 -270 I can lay across with no problem, comfort level about a 8........... you can tell this sofa was built to last, leather is soft and feels thick all around............... NOW this sofa is low to the ground to where its flush with the floor so be aware, every time I get up off the sofa I feel like I'm doing a squat at the gym, probably wont recommend if you have bad knees!! The reason I still gave this sofa 5 stars because the quality they put into this big boy plus if I really want it higher I can always add some legs to it. ... show more

I love the shape of this couch and for the price it's great. A similar couch on other sites would definitely cost way more. The construction is sturdy and the couch is comfortable as well. The only issue with this couch is that it came a bit damaged and that seems to be a common problem based on other reviews. But customer service makes exchanges and solutions pretty easy and luckily mine wasn't too bad. Overall I would recommend this item. It's a beautiful couch and if there are any problems with it customer service will work with you. And if you like stretching out get the larger one, the arms are pretty thick so the smaller one might be too cramped for some. ... show more

I have been eyeing similar couches for years: real leather, masculine, camel-colored, and timeless. I finally found my fit. If I knew how special this couch would be, I would have ordered it in the longer length. Bought this for our modern beach house. It is very comfortable and adds a contemporary look to the decor. The piece seems well made and the fabric durable. We will have to see how it holds up to our rental customers and our dogs but our initial impression is very good. One suggestion: The sofa has massive 12" arms. Those surfaces beg to be used as tables to put computers, snacks and drinks. It would be great if the manufacturer offered arm covers in a matching fabric. I love the look and functionality of the arms but a concerned that their usefulness will spawn increased wear. ... show more
