Our chair arrived well (but not frustratingly well) packed. We also got the matching ottoman. We took a chance, and it turned out to be a positive experience. The chair & ottoman were simple to finish up (just attaching them to their stands), with no loose flimsy parts. The chair can tip back, lounger style. They are well made, heavy weight, no issues with outgassing. I'm really pleased. The shippers were excellent-one day late, only because of the snow storm (they kept us up to date on our delivery status), and they delivered inside the front door. So this is tough for me as I absolutely love the chair and the ottoman looked quite nice as well. The chair perfectly matches my mid century decor and is very comfortable with many adjustable features that are nice. However within a few weeks of owning the ottoman it broke off from it's base. The ottoman was very lightly used, maybe 3-4 times total in the few weeks. I had sat down on it to tie my shoe and it snapped off the base. I'm not a very large man, only about 170lbs so this was pretty ridiculous for the cost of the furniture. Looking at the break it looks as if the base and the stem are simply glued together despite the illusion of bolts going through the bottom. I was lucky this occured in the 30 prime window so I could easily get a replacement but I'm now really worried the same will happen with the chair at some point. The product feels very sturdy but this incident has me concerned. We'll see if the replacement ottoman lasts any longer :/ ... show more

Great addition to our living room and super comfortable as long as you've got an ottoman. You don't necessarily need the matching one, but you will need something for the chair to really be comfortable to sit in. We ended up using a Moroccan style poof and it works great. Ordered this chair because I thought it looked great and imagined it would be really comfortable. It arrived fine, but with an instruction sheet for a different chair. Initially I did not like it. It seemed to have a poorly designed headrest that made the chair quite uncomfortable. I was considering the logistics of having to return something of this size and weight. Then I accidently discovered that the head rest adjusts not just up and down, but fore and aft as well. Woo Hoo! All of a sudden it became really comfy besides looking like something out of the Jetsons. Advice to Amazon: it's not enough to design great products. Having the wrong instruction sheet could have been the difference between a one star and a five star review. So 5 stars for the chair, and 1 star for the instructions. I've had it less than a week so I really can't comment on its sturdiness... that's a weird question to ask unless you're writing a review months or years after buying it. ... show more

I am giving this one star!! The color so nice! The rest of the chair was negative, stiff and so uncomfortable !! Fabric rough and scratchy!! I returned the chair the next day !! No ottoman, not worth the price !! Very disappointed!!!!

This is a extremely nice chair. Well put together and attractive to the eye. It so defiantly made for reclining. Even at its most upright position, you will be sitting back, so it does not make a good desk chair. That said, it is super comfy when reclining. I find the further back you go, the more comfortable it becomes! It was extremely squeaky when it arrived, but a quick spray of WD40 solved that. ... show more

I purchased the yellow chair and ottoman. The color of the photos is accurate; like a pale spicy mustard color. The Amazon guys delivered it to inside the front door and the boxes and chair where in good shape. I assembled it alone without issue. There was no damaged pieces or damage to the wood. The headrest adjusts up and down and there is a good amount of recline. Overall I’m very pleased. I purchased mine when they were on sale and I’d buy another if I needed another recliner. ... show more
