I love the pencils because they come sharpened so they are ready for use. They write smooth and dark- not fine lines. I prefer this functionality. The pencils are durable and the price is excellent for the quantity of pencils that you get. I will definitely purchase these again.

bought these wood-based pencils for my kid, and they’ve been a big hit! The pencils feel sturdy and well-made — no easy breakage when my kid presses a little too hard. The wood has a smooth finish that makes them easy to sharpen, and the graphite glides nicely on paper for both writing and drawing. My kid uses them for homework, doodling, and school projects, and I haven’t had to constantly replace broken tips like I have with cheaper pencils. I buy these every year for my Son and Daughter-in-Law! They are both middle school teachers and are always having issues with kids coming to class without pencils. ‘( The first year I gave them to her she cried. Teachers don’t make enough to afford all the supplies they need. Help a teacher today! The pencils are a perfect gift as they are already sharpened and ready to go. Large quantity and great price point! Number 2 so it’s the kind they need for test taking! Every kid needs these so if you are just getting for your house, they are perfect too! Great value!!!

I'm giving the Amazon Basics 150-count box of pre-sharpened #2 pencils four out of five stars. These pencils are still a solid, dependable supply of writing tools perfect for high-usage environments like classrooms or offices. The pre-sharpened feature is the biggest convenience factor. Opening the box and immediately having 150 ready-to-go pencils is fantastic, especially as a teacher. They erase cleanly, which is essential for students. My only reason for docking a star is that the affordability factor that initially made these a 5-star product is no longer present. These pencils were once an unbeatable value, but since the price has jumped significantly, they now land firmly in the "great, reliable choice" category rather than the "must-buy bargain" category. The quality itself is still solid, but the reduced value means they’re no longer the automatic recommendation they once were. Overall, these are still highly recommended, though you may want to shop around for the best current deal.
