This is the right pencil, right quantity, and right price. I am of the opinion that there's been a change is the hardness label on pencils. These work well. I put them in our church pews, and the rest go to a junior high teacher friend.

I have ordered these pencils now three or four years in a row. I teach high school and buy a box each year for my classroom. I love that they are pre-sharpened, and they sharpen really well and once they become dull. These are worth the price, and are worth the convenience.

These Amazon Basics pencils are a great value for the price. The box comes with plenty (150!), all pre-sharpened and ready to use, which is super convenient. The wood casing sharpens easily without breaking, and the HB lead writes smoothly without smudging too much. They’re sturdy, reliable, and perfect for school, office, or home use. This was really cheap and very necessary for me to buy since my daughter runs through pencils so quickly. I love the fact that they’re already sharpened and she can just grab and go.
