We chose this backpack cooler as a convenient way to carry lunches and drinks for our family outings. Previously, we’ve used a standard tote cooler bag, but it is bulky and inconvenient to carry around, particularly on excursions where we’re far from the car, like the zoo or museums. This backpack is a great alternative! Overall, the design is aesthetically appealing. I like the simplicity of the color scheme and It’s a generic enough design that it’s suitable for either myself or my wife to carry. The back and the straps are well-padded and comfortable to wear. Functionally, there’s an excellent amount of storage in the main cooler compartment, as well as two convenient front pockets and two mesh side pockets. The larger front pocket also has a mesh holder inside. The additional pockets are hugely helpful for carrying phones, toys, wallets, and all the small, additional items we need to carry beyond just the food and drinks. The backpack material is thick and durable. It holds its shape and stands up, even when empty. The pocket zippers are sturdy and open/close without snagging. The backpack is also easy to wipe clean, both inside and out. The only drawback I have is the elastic on top. It feels oversized and I think it takes away from an otherwise aesthetically pleasing look. It also has limited usage, for me at least. I guess I can see throwing a small towel or cloth in there, but I also don’t want a wide-open space like that when I’m carrying this around on my back. Another zippered pocket on top would have been ideal. Overall, I think this cooler backpack is a good value choice for size, quality, and function.

After carrying a heavy shoulder-style cooler bag on multiple vacations, I realized that maybe the bag was causing back and shoulder pain. So a when I saw that Amazon Basics made a backpack cooler, I had to try it. The backpack's design disperses the weight over my back and both shoulders, making it easier to carry. The material of the bag is made well, with heavy stitching throughout. The bag also has multiple front pockets, including an inner mesh pocket in the larger one. Amazon Basics thought of everything and also put a bottle opener on one of the straps. I decided to test it out by carrying some food back home from a trip. The backpack is designed like a normal backpack, so standard to-go boxes don't sit in the bottom of it. However, it fit 3 to-go boxes and a bag of ice when the backpack was placed on its side, as well as a few smaller items stuck in. It kept my food cold for the duration of the drive home (3.5 hours), so I consider it a success! I definitely think this backpack would be better if you mainly used it for drinks and kept it upright, but it still worked well for other items. I would recommend if you place it on its side to tilt it up a little so the condensation doesn't leak out.

Perfect. If I could use one word to sum this backpack cooler up, thats it. I have a few other backpack coolers, and this performs far better by keeping drinks cool. First thing I like is its just very average looking/blends in as a normal bag. It doesnt scream "backpack cooler" like some of the other ones do. Another thing is, the insulation with this. Keeps drinks cooler for longer as compared to others ive used. I like the front compartments, and I ypically keep a couple coozies and a beer bottle opener in there so I never have to worry about not having them. The straps are padded and comfortable when carrying this, even when its packed. The top opening is wide and easy to pack in bottles, icepacks, etc. This is a great backpack cooler, and will definitely replace the ones ive been using previously.

This backpack is lightweight. I have found that freezing a couple of water bottles works great. Keeps everything cold, and then I have them when needed at the end of the day. Perfect for us for day trips. I like the fact that it is a backpack, as it frees up our hands to carry other things. So far, I have just used this for day trips. I can see it has many uses and will continue to think outside the box for all its possible uses. I believe I will start keeping it in the car, so when I have cold items from the grocery store, this will be a perfect place to keep them until I get home on hot summer days.

This is a gem and perfect for me as a single parent taking my child to the beach. I am able to store cans of cola, juice boxes and snacks that I want to keep cold and then carry it all on my back leaving my hands free. The cooler itself is made of polyester so its water and dirt resistant. The interior keeps items well insulated while the pockets and storage areas outside provide ample room to carry other stuff. I particularly like the built-in bottle opener and the area provided at the top for hat or towel storage. Overall, a great find and a very good backpack cooler.

This is a great backpack, it looks really smart, is of rugged construction, and is perfect for lightweight picnicking and hiking. The straps are a little thin, so not recommended for heavy items or long walks, but are comfortable enough for most uses. It functions well at keeping things cool (with an added icepack), and has a nice detail of a bottle opener on one of the straps. It looks great (I would love something like this for my laptop) and is light, with well-considered features. It's going to be a companion of mine for many weekend picnics with my family
