Why did you pick this product vs others?: We purchased a set of these containers from another store. Sadly, they no longer carry them. We have been using them for a couple years now. We love these containers! We cannot find the ones we'd previously purchased, so went with these. They work the same. We do not use them in the microwave or freezer. We use them for pantry storage and refrigerator storage and are used pretty much daily. There is no leaking odors coming from these containers. They have a good solid seal. I'm sure if we dropped them, they could possibly crack. We haven't so I can't comment on that. I took something in one of the containers to my daughters for a cookout recently. She liked them so much that she ordered a set too. ... show more

These were $36 just 3 weeks ago. I wonder if a product gets great reviews if the raise prices. Amazing makes millions! Why raise prices?! They went up in price from several months ago. Bought a second set! My first set was purchased from a second hand store. After using them I looked for months for some more; problem was I didn’t know what brand they were. Took me several months but finally discovered they were Amazon Essentials. Bought a large package shortly after. Very handy for my lunch. Also you can heat in these and they don’t bubble. I have microwaved for a long long time but have used the microwave several times over the past year. Still clear, easy to see what is inside and easy to clean. We’ve had these food storage containers for a little over 2 months and would absolutely return them if we had the packaging. There are a couple major issues that don’t make them a good fit for a household looking to save leftovers and pack lunches. 1. They claim to be dishwasher safe but all 3 of the largest containers have severely warped to the point that they are unusable after 2 runs in the dishwasher. 2. The containers rely on a rely on a rubber seal in each lid to keep the containers from leaking. If these seals come out (which also happens after running them in the dishwasher) they are literally impossible to get back in making these useless for packing lunches. I understand these are “basics” but I still expect usability for my money. I could’ve gotten better results by just buying ziplock bags. ... show more
