When you take it out it looks huge. But it's not intimidating to a dog, and it's just fine. Nowhere seems to carry the good old stainless steel bowl with the anti-tip-over sides anymore, except on Amazon. I'm glad I could get it.

I’ve been putting them in the dishwasher every week or so. It’s easy to separate the rubber base from the bowls. I haven’t noticed any damage from using the dishwasher yet!

I bought these for my 2 dogs, one is 100lbs and the other is 20lbs. I feed my dogs twice a day. The bigger one gets 3 cups of food and the smaller one gets 1 cup. The bowls are big enough for both dog. And since there is rubber on the bottom, the bowls don’t slide around the floor as bad.

Nice bowl. Not wild about any of the rubber rings on the bottom of most of these, they make them impossible to clean. You can put food grade silicon on the ring edge and it keeps crud from collecting around it and makes them easier to clean. For larger dogs this bowl is a little too small for water. I know it may sound a bit strange, but we actually bought these as water dishes for our Chickens. They have a tendency to mess up any dish they're given, so easy to clean is a must. These work great.

The bowl works for the stated purpose and my dog doesn’t tip it over or spill water out of it. However, the quality of the stainless is not quite up to oar and it has a rust spot already inside the water bowl area after just a few weeks of use. The stainless is thinner than I’d like also.
