This is by far more effective than any other retinol serum I’ve used before. When I think serum, I think of a translucent color, but this is creamy white and only a small amount is needed, and there is no offensive odor. I just reached 70 and have dry sensitive skin with larger pores. After a week of using this product once a day, I’ve noticed my skins texture looks and feels much better and lines around my lips are diminishing. I was hesitant to buy this, but the price point was affordable. Needless to say, I’m pleasantly surprised and will be buying more. I like the product. 1st one I had no issues. The 2nd order the pump wouldn’t work. Luckily I still had the 1st one I ordered & was able to swap the pump. Other reviews mention the pump as being defective.

I thought the ordinary products were the cheapest For basic products, It's hard to beat Amazon basics. This is exactly what I would spend $90 for for overly branded product. A very excellent lotion. Dries fast. I would give it a 5 star if the pump worked efficiently I changed from this brand for one reason: the pump applicator does not function properly. There is only 1 oz. of serum in the bottle, but the pump fails to deliver a substantial portion of what remains in the bottle. So, I must take the lid off and force the remaining serum out, like ketchup from the bottle. I will try another brand. ... show more

I decided to try after the Retinol moisturizing cream I was using was no longer available. There are so many to choose from and in my search came up Amazon Basics Retinol Serum. It works very well as it absorbs thoroughly into the skin, small wrinkles around mouth, eyes, and vertical lines above lip line are diminished. I then used on two age spots on my hand and after a couple of days it has lightened significantly and should be gone soon. Very pleased with this serum as it works as expected.
