So, as I've never gotten anything from this particular brand before, Gildan, everything about them seemed to tick all the boxes that I consider a necessity for just your simple, run-of-the-mill boxer brief style of underwear, one of them being a fly opening in the front – and although it's just one of the standard, regular type of fly, not one of those really nifty horizontally oriented ones (which is what I really wanted to get at first), I ultimately decided against it, especially after seeing how most of those horizontal ones also tended to include a double pouch design (and I'll try to keep a straight face here while describing it 🤭), where it actually has two separate pouches, one stacked on top of the other. And while the bottom one only aids in holding the "Stones" but separate from the "Pillar", they actually cut a rather uncomfortable looking hole (for what I assume is done on purpose) that's built right into the top pouch for what I assume is to provide an opening for… well, maybe you should just look it up yourself but I swear I'm not making this up! But this new fangled idea was conjured up in someone's mind, as a way to somehow, someway improve upon an already fully realized invention of something as basic as a pair of men's underwear, I guess. And that they somehow must have felt the need to take it to the next level by creating this amazing and new version with the whole idea of keeping a man's junk, now in individually wrapped areas (a spark of innovation which has to be one of the most ridiculous, nonsensical ideas to ever get thought up. I mean, just imagine bringing something like this up in front of all of the board of directors at all the major clothing lines and whatnot?! I can only imagine, if it were me, how many times I'd want to give up after getting laughed out of every meeting (how low has the human race plummeted in the struggle to come up with new and truly revolutionary ideas?) But, who am I really to befuddle, besmirch or belittle such a rare and beautiful thing as this act of amazing creativeness (that's now become a part of our great American culture), especially when I haven't even tried them out for myself? Although, aside from the triple digit price, and the fact that I'm just not ready to deviate from the tried and true method I've already got for keeping everything… stabilized, under my clothing that no one besides myself will probably ever see (did I just say that out loud?! 😳), I'm just as perfectly happy with only trying to FORGET this whole thing instead of actually trying them on. So I suppose I can't really complain as to what the true advantages that are offered by this quite elaborate and specially designed double pouch system! However, I digress, as to the ones I did get, though, the normal Gildan brand, with its ordinary, vertically oriented fly, which I must say truly offers just as swift and immediate access to those critical components, especially for those quick runs to the bathroom that crop up at the most inopportune times that one might consider one of those "Oh boy, I barely made it!" (Sorry, TMI… right?! But I'm sure there's plenty of y'all out there that know EXACTLY what I mean, am I right?! And that's what we call a rhetorical question folks, LOL! 😅). Also, moving on to the other great features, another huge benefit is they don't sew on any actual, physical or loose tag on the inside in back! Meaning, no worries about chafing and/or itching (Huzzah! Now THAT one definitely was a good improvement! 😁), and then there's the flatlock stitching throughout all the seams of course, making all the seen bits incredibly durable, yet also adding another layer of comfort to an already overall pretty great choice for your next pair of men's underwear! So all in all, all things considered, aside from having to learn that they run just a tad bit larger than most other brands (IMHO anyways), at least they do allow free returns for Amazon Prime Members on some orders, so there's that and that's about it!

I've really come to appreciate boxer briefs in general, but I don't "get" why some of them don't have flies. One of the best things about being a guy is that we can pee (just about) anywhere at any time, unless of course, you don't have a fly which complicates things a little. I totally get it with compression shorts since any additional seams could chafe -- probably _not_ a good idea with those, but other underwear should be as useful as possible, which implies having a fly. These fit the bill in my opinion and I'm getting rid of a bunch of older not as comfortable underwear. For me personally, the thighs are a little tight at times, but that's because I have large thighs. I'm not sure what they could have done -- make the hem line a little more elastic? I have broken too tight hem lines with some other underwear to give my legs a little more room, but that didn't work with these, and I don't want to rip them.

The shorter length and cheaper cost of these boxers compared to "regular length" boxer briefs are two most notable positives. The feeling of the stitching on my butt was slightly uncomfortable at first, but I am fine with it and forget about it when wearing them now. The boxers in one of the packs I bought were a little smaller and tighter than the ones in the other packs I bought that were perfect. These are the only boxers I plan on buying from now on.
