Top Amazon Reviews

  • Survived 3 seasons. Good for your money if you use it a lot
Style: 10' x 7'
Three years after I post my initial review, and I still keep five-star rating given to this product. The structure/frame is getting rusty at the joints after leaving it outdoor basically half spring and half fall, and entire summer. It’s no big deal, a little bit rust removal compound with new coating will help to keep it going for another three years. It will be nice if AmazonBasics provides net replacement for this product, because after hitting thousands of golf balls into this net, the net is starting tearing apart. Although I do use a target sheet hanging in front of the net, the net is hardly going to survive for another year. There’s an aftermarket net sold by Amazon, but it’s not AmazonBasics brand, I will give a try and see if it serves the purpose. I am a beginner golfer, I admit that I am taking classes and getting improvements, but I’m still the worst in my company’s golf league. I bought this 10’x7’ net to practice golf in my backyard for two weeks now. I used it after my golf lessons, otherwise it’s waste of time and money to take lessons. I’d recommend the 10’x7’ set because I know bad things could happen for rookies, even hitting the ball 3’ away, the golf ball still could find a way fly into your neighbor’s backyard or smash the windows if the net is not wide enough. I’d also recommend to buy a 7’x7’ enhanced net for $19.99, or more expensive bullseye style net to hang over it like what I did in the photo. The additional money will pay back eventually. My swing speed ranged from 80 to 110 mph, and I hit 110 to 150 balls a day and 5 to 7 days a week. Without the enhanced net, the center of the net would be wore out pretty fast. Pros: 1. Easy to assemble. 2. Neat looking. 3. Light weight. 4. Comes with a bag to organize the parts after disassembling. 5. Huge savings on the driving range cost. Cons: 1. On the pricy side. I bought this net for $74, and I saw today’s price is $60, but it’s still quite expensive IMO. 2. It doesn’t feel very robust. The columns are actually quite flexible, they will bend inward after hanging the net onto the hooks. 3. Occupy too much rooms, unless you really enjoy assembling and disassembling after each practice. The bottom line is: I benefit from practicing golf club swing routinely. ... show more

  • It works
Style: 10' x 7'
Now I have a driving range in my back yard, good quality, easy to set up and take down

  • Basic net that does the job
Style: 10' x 7'
Once you go thru the learning curve in initial setup it is easy to erect I leave the structure up and just unhook the two top net loops from frame and let net drop. The net is under tension from the upper poles which flare away so it does not sag. Simple and effective. I did not use spikes into ground- was not needed. I hit my driver 250 and the force is fully absorbed without any kick back. It is used outside for now. I will take frame down to mow the lawn or if it rains. Good value and sturdy enough for basis hitting. I added a yellow ribbon (weaved) into the center for a target. I added a small hitting Matt and an outdoor floor Matt for my footing. Satisfied with purchase and the net is made with heavy enough denier nylon? Or PP yarn to hold up. Time will tell but for now I have a hitting range to use any time. ... show more

  • Great net! Better than others I tried
Style: 10' x 7'
I recently tried out the Amazon Basics Golf Driving Net, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The build quality is top-notch, and it feels incredibly sturdy. Setting it up was a breeze, and I found myself enjoying every moment of practice with it. The net can take a real beating, which is fantastic for someone like me who tends to hit the ball with some force. However, if there's one thing I wish it had, it would be a hitting mat. Having a compatible hitting mat included would have made the whole experience even better. It's definitely something I'm considering purchasing separately to complete the setup. Overall, this net has become an integral part of my golf routine. It's durable, portable, and just makes practicing so much more convenient. If you're looking for a reliable practice net that's built to last, this one is definitely worth considering. ... show more

  • Golf net

Easy to set up. Good quality and great size

  • Netting is weak! Does not withstand normal use, beware!
Style: 8' x 8'
Net will not last over time. I've had this net for just about 6 weeks now and have already seen significant wear on the net itself with two balls already going through the netting and damaging the wall in my garage. I by no means have tour quality ball speed and this net has already failed - See attached photo of 2 holes and the highlighted area where the netting is starting to fray. And here is the kicker, this is listed as an Amazon Basics Product on the website. On the web page for this net you'll find a Warranty.pdf that clearly states all Amazon Basics Products have a 1 year warranty (if they don't remove it after my phone call with them). Since it was past the return window when the net failed, I attempted to claim a replacement under the Warranty documented in the pdf. I spent over an hour with an agent who told me that I could return it but I was being charged a restocking fee because it was past the normal return window. What!?!?! First of all, it's DAMAGED, why would you RESTOCK it?!?! Secondly, it's DAMAGED.......I'm just following the steps that AMAZON has pointed out in THEIR warranty document. This is the most frustrating experience I've ever had with Amazon, who typically is fantastic with all product returns, it's a shame. Moral of the story, don't buy this net, unless you want damage to your interior walls and the run-around from Amazon. ... show more
