It's a good mat, but it's not top of class. The rubber backing is much thinner than Waterhog. In my mat, the rubber never fully flattened out from the rolled up packaging, and remains wavy, not flat.

Very well made and definitely commercial grade. Color is a gray-black, carpet unrolled and layed nicely, with no curling. As a point of reference, I own a manufacturing plant, and we use a uniform supply service foe the weekly changing of rug, employee uniforms, etc. I found that with 6 weeks rental payments, we could pay for the rug, so I purchased four of these rugs to test their life. We are at week 3 and they still look new (we have weekly office cleaning/vacuuming), so if we make past 6 weeks, it's dollars saved! ... show more

I needed a non-commercial grade carpet-rubber runner for a higher traffic area in our basement, to protect a more expensive rubber 'gym' flooring. I appreciated being able to have a bit of a choice of colors. The mat didn't have a notable smell and it laid flat after 'resting' unrolled for a bit.

We have French doors that are wooden and no longer seal quite like they should. We needed something to block the cold from just seeping through the window panes and cracks. It's bigger than your average doormat, but we put this one in the kitchen under the trash bins that are in front of the door to the patio, nicely doing double duty. I live in an apartment, and it pays to keep the facilities such as the rug in good condition, or you might regret it when you move out. These rugs are not the most attractive, but they do prevent high-traffic areas from wear and tear.     • This is a good rug for your garage or whatever
I put this on the floor in my garage. It's not, like, the kind of rug you're going to use in a living room situation, but in a garage it works. Durable, rubber-backed, has those little channels in it that makes you think it's going to be good to walk over with wet boots on.

This was just what I was looking for. Durable and heavy. Rug doesn’t slide. My dogs comes flying down the stairs and this stays in place, keeping her from slipping.
