I did not like this trimmer. I didn't like the safety guide either. Ordinary copy paper did not cut cleanly. It left an uncut tail when I folded a single sheet of copy paper and tried to trim it to a desired width. This trimmer worked on a 50/50 basis. I tried to cut three pieces of ordinary copy paper (20lb) and it cut the first time....the second time I tried three pieces it failed and left tails I had to cut with scissors. It will cut heavyweight card stock to. I used it on card stock 140lb and it cut just fine. I didn't like the safety guide. I was so close to the edge of the blade it made lining up the paper a chore. It made it edge hard to see...therefore hard to line up. I didn't like the black color either.....made the grid hard to see. I can't return this trimmer cause I painted some of the base white so I could read the marks. I'll have to use it only for heavy card stock. Going back to the Swingline brand.

This product did exactly what I looking for in a paper/material cutter. I use it to cut vinyl for craft projects and it works extremely well. Other types of cutters don’t always completely cut the vinyl, so I chose this and it works perfectly and is still sharp.

I’ve been looking for a paper trimmer for my office but for the amount of use, I’d get out of it, I didn’t want to spend much. This item is exactly what I was looking for. The blade is so sharp, it cuts through paper like butter and the rubber feet keep it from moving around. Can’t go wrong with this cutter.

This works perfect for paper or card stock. I bought this to be able to cut down labels or cards. Works perfectly for what I need. If you’re doing a lot of chopping and you need to want to use a lot of pages then you might want to go with something more heavy duty. Perfect for light duty home office.

I just got this, so I can't comment on durability. So far, it is a basic paper trimmer and does the job as expected. If you are expecting laser precision or plan on putting this to commercial use, then go with one of the more expensive/fancier models.

I know paper cutters should not be used for this but I figured that for the price of it if I ruined it, it wouldn't be much of a loss. I had a lot of plastic and aluminum mini blind slats that I wanted to make into ID markers for seedlings. I cut them with the paper cutter. I literally cut thousands of them and the cutter is still fine. In fact, I accidentally touched the blade and cut myself and bled all over the place, even after cutting hundreds of aluminum slats with it. So, heads up--don't touch the blade--it's razor sharp and stays that way for a long time. Only one drawback--I wish it was heavier so it didn't move around so much.

This paper cutter is light weight and easy to use. The handle had to be assembled on to the arm, but it wasn't difficult. The blade is sharp and accurate. I would recommend this paper cutter.
