This thing took me right back to elementary school—the satisfying *thunk* of slicing a small stack of paper is amazing. Overall, it’s perfect for what I need. I’ve had zero issues cutting up to 10 sheets at a time. When I tried 15, the cut was a little rough, but that’s expected for this size overall, though it's very easy to use and cuts very accurately. The price is great too. The plastic guide lets you pinch the paper securely for clean, safe cuts, and the whole trimmer is very lightweight thanks to the mostly plastic build. Easy to move around, no heavy steel base to deal with. Very happy with this purchase.

I ordered this to use in my classroom, and it’s amazing! The ability to latch the blade makes storing this much safer (especially with students). It doesn’t take up much space, and it makes cutting papers quicker and easier. (Limit your amount to about 8 to 10 pieces of paper.) It makes cutting neater, as well. I swear I use this several times a week for different reasons. Great product - I have recommended it to other coworkers in my building.

Makes nice sharp cuts - I haven't had issues with it trying to eat the paper. It has a nice function where there is a clear plastic rim against the blade, which you can press down on to keep the paper from shifting while making the cut. I've tried up to 4 sheets of paper without any problem, manual says up to 10. I also didn't realize how light it would be - the frame is made of plastic but this doesn't seem like it'll be an issue. It's still relatively new but I'll update this review if I encounter any problems. (Aug 2024) After using it for a while I'm realizing it's difficult to make extremely precise cuts. The measurement grid and alignment guides are integrated into the surface as raised lines and recessed grooves, rather than being painted or printed on. This means they won't rub off, but they also introduce a margin of error since the grooves are wider than a thin line might be. I find it's good for general cuts, but, for example, making a ~uniform~ stack of 5.5x4.25 cards our of 8.5x11 paper is pretty difficult. (April 2025)

This paper cutter is phenomenal. The blade is sharp (use caution) and easily cuts through standard paper and card stock without leaving tattered edges. This item is light weight and the end of the handle comes off for compact and easy storage. I prefer this paper cutter over the smaller ones with the sliding blade because it’s easier to cut 12x12 paper. I use this regularly when scrapbooking, it is a must-have.

I knew this was a very inexpensive "basic" (aka all plastic except for the cutting bar) paper cutter, and I got this as it was the only 15" paper cutter I could find at a reasonable price. Upon arrival, the shipping box had a 4" tear in it exposing the cutter. Fortunately, no damage. The plastic handle was attached to the cutting handle with a single screw, and it was ready for use. For my needs, this will work fine. But if you plan to use this in a 'busy' (aka office) environment, look for something sturdier. I can imagine the plastic will eventually break and I'll replace it with something more substantial. But for now, and for the price, this is a workable solution for me. I dock 2 stars at the build is rather 'basic', but what can you expect at this price point?
