I’m really coming to appreciate the Amazon Basics brand, and this “box spring” (should be called a “platform”, but the industry is sticking with this) is another great example of why. Well priced compared to competing products and arrived on time and in good shape. Very light materials that also felt quite sturdy (yay material science!) and high quality. Simple instructions and easy to set up, even by one person. Final result looks good and feels solid so far. Fits a queen mattress perfectly and fits within a standard metal frame snugly. Can’t really ask for more. Some tips for assembling solo: 1) If you have a frame, sit the middle hinges of the first part on the frame so you can do the rest elevated. 2) When doing step 2 and putting the end brackets on, grab the hand bolts from step 3 and put them in loosely to hold each corner in place as you do the rest of them. Then just tighten them in step 3. 3) Step 4 was a little tricky so align both ends carefully before pushing either one into place. 4) When putting in the horizontal slats on step 5) do the same as in step 4, align both ends before pushing either one fully down. 6) I found the hardest solo part to be the cover in step 7. Standing the frame on its side with the zipper start/end of the cover on the top made it easier for me to get it on without help. Probably a bit easier with 2 people, but I hope these tips help if you want or need to do it solo!

I like that this boxspring ships in a smallish and easy to handle package versus a full size traditional boxspring. Also very easy to assemble and lightweight relative to its size. Feels very sturdy under the mattress and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s my second one. I also use one on my king size bed. Highly recommend.

This bedframe / box spring is a really good and inexpensive one compared to traditional ones. It was real easy to put together. I did make the mistake of putting it together downstairs and then it was impossible to get upstairs, I had to un-assemble it and reassemble it upstairs. I ordered the 9in, which turned out to be higher than I expected (I really need to calculate better because I am always off with everything) and now my bed is extra high. I'm 5'2, I may need a little step stool just to get into it and maybe a rail so I don't fall and kill myself, LOL :)

Easy to set up and light to move. Great for the first year. I've had the frame under a solid memory foam mattress for 18 months and a couple of months ago it started to squeak. Thinking it may need tightened or lubricated I took it apart and found the welds starting to crack and the squeak comes from the plastic corner peices. There's no fixing it and it's getting worse by the day. Price is pretty comparable though so I may have to give it another try unless I can find a model with different corner setup or higher quality. Might be a great frame for smaller than a Cali king.

I wish I recorded us assembling this box spring. It was very simple and fast. I first confirmed all the pieces were in the box. I reviewed the directions and we were able to complete it in less than 10mins. It is ver sturdy. I like that the covering is machine washable. It fit our bedroom set perfectly. It’s 9 inches, per the description. I plan on buying another one to replace an old wooden box spring. I would recommend this.

I like that it's easy to put together and will be easy to take apart if I move. I looked at the instructions once, but the thing was easy enough to assemble without having to look at them again. There's only four screws in key areas and they are tightened by hand. Everything else slides together, and with plastic caps on the ends of those parts, it all fits together snugly. The support bars in between are close enough that I'm not worried the mattress will start to fall through. I'm not using it as a box springs/foundation. I wanted a platform that sat flat on the floor and would be sturdier that a bed frame on legs. This foundation is very sturdy and doesn't look bad with the cover left off. The mattress slides around a bit without the cover, so if it bothers me, I might put it on. If I put the cover on the foundation, I'll get a bed skirt to cover it up. I don't really want a bed skirt... Since I'm not using the cover (at this time), I put tape on the areas that I thought might rub through the mattress over tme. It's ugly but I'll get used to it. There aren't really any sharp points on the foundation, but just precaution. I also put the plastic mover slides under it at the corners so I can move it all easy to sweep. Overall I'm really happy with it.
