The red tie that pulls out of the seam around the opening breaks often when I stretch the bag to make it fit around the rim of my garbage can. Though I can tie the single strand of the broken red strip to the loop of the red strip at the opposite end and cinch it almost closed, but not all the way like I would be able to if I were tying two unbroken loops. do not buy these bags.. when you shake them to open the bags the sides always split open. you never get a chance try and fill the bag.

These yard bags are absolutely fantastic and perform just as well as the expensive name brands. They are thick, durable, and hold a massive amount of heavy yard waste. I’ve packed them full of sharp twigs, thick branches, and even heavy wet leaves, and they haven't punctured or ripped once. The drawstrings are also tough and don't snap when you pull them tight to tie them up. For the price and quantity, you really can't beat the value.
