  • Takes the hands out of the swing
Size: 48"
I have studied the golf swing for years and know how the golf swing works but knowing and doing are very different. I have spent hundreds of hours watching pro golfswings but trying to immitate that swing was very difficult but with this swing trainer I was able to understand how the body works almost immediately. It has been a game changer and the fastest improvement in my golf swing ever. Becuase of the weight and flex you can only swing it one way to get it to move correctly. And becuase of the weight you couldn't use your arms and hands but had to use your body. It put me in positions that were new to me but I instantly recognized that it put my arms and upper body in the correct positions I use to try and achieve thid mechanically. I now swing my body in these correct postions which now makes my swing automatic. I now shallow the club everytime wherre I use to try and do it mechanically by moving my arms but now my body shallows the club, birng it right on plane and have now created lag which I always struggled with. It drops me right into that slot which was so hard to achieve. I do think it is because I have such a good understanding of the swing that this helped me understand what I needed to do. ... show more

  • Great buy for warming up on the first tee or range.
Size: 48"
This is great for warm up. There are expensive options that probably work just as good as this one. No reason to buy an expensive one. Quality is really impressive. The grip is just fine. I’ll probably put a matching grip to my clubs on it since I use midsize grips. The weight seems great to work on tempo and warm things up before you hit the course. ... show more

  • Warmup and tempo training at a fraction of the Orange price.
Size: 48"
fantastic for warmup pre round. I mainly use this right now to warm up before a round and practice. It has good weight and I really enjoy the flexibility to help with Temp. I do think it's important to note that you should be very careful to not hit anything with it. The grip also leaves a lot to be desired. It is not overly grippy, and for someone who plays with oversized grips it can be hard to hang on to. I plan to fix that in the near future by regripping it with the grips I use on all my clubs. I'm hoping the diameter is the same. Not having used the Orange version of this I can't comment on how it compares, but for the Price it is a fantastic training aid. Update: I regripped this, and one should not it's not a regular golf grip. The shaft diameter is .400" it has a hard plastic insert that makes this grip much smaller internal diameter. I used several wraps to build the shift back up to standard .600". It then accepted an oversized grip and is perfect for warm up. I still haven't used it to help improve swing speed, but my swing speed has improved maybe by just using it to warm up? ... show more

  • As good as others with an affordable price.
Size: 48"
Just as good as the name brands. Got it because my original name brand grip kept sliding off and didn’t want to risk it.

  • Great training aid, after minor modification.
Size: 48"
Great swing trainer. I removed the grip, cut it down 4", and added a Golf Price CP2 Standard grip. Now it's perfect. It's about the length of a driver now, vs some sort of long drive competition length shaft. And it feels like a real club now.

  • Nice Trainer. Amazon copy of Orange Whip. Made in China. Nice Trainer. Amazon copy of Orange Whip. Made in China.
Size: 48"
I bought both the Orange Whip Golf Swing Trainer and the Amazon Basics Golf Swing Trainer in order to compare and decide which one, if any, to keep. So I am going to do this review as a comparison between the two. First, these are both great products. You would probably be happy with either one. Here's a rundown on things to think about, and the winner in each category. Price: The Orange Whip is nearly three times the cost of the Amazon Basics. Winner: Amazon Basics Length: This is probably less of a data thing and more of a feel thing. The Orange Whip is 47" long; Amazon Basics is 48". My driver (Taylor Made Qi10 Max) is 47". Marginal winner: Orange Whip Grip: The Amazon Basics has a very traditional, textured rubber golf grip. The Orange Whip's grip looks and feels more like a leather wrapped grip, even though it is actually rubber. No winner. Depends on what you like. Whippiness and Swing Feel: The Amazon Basics' shaft is much thicker and less flexible than the Orange Whip's. This gives the Orange Whip a "whippier" feel, and gives you better feedback when you are not swinging smoothly. Winner: Orange Whip Grip end. The Orange Whip has a white counter weight at the grip end, which contributes a lot to its feel when swinging. Winner: Orange Whip. Instructions: The Amazon Basics comes with a nice instruction sheet. The Orange Whip comes with a brochure to sell you other products, with a QR code on it taking you to a website with the opportunity to subscribe (1st month free) to what I think is a rather expensive monthly subscription of training videos. No other instructions. Winner: Amazon Basics Manufacture Country: Amazon Basics is China. Orange Whip is USA. Winner: Orange Whip In the end, the feel of it was the deciding factor for me. I just felt the Orange Whip gave me more feedback when swinging, both on the backswing and the main stroke. I just like the feel of it with its counter weight in the handle. I returned the Amazon Basic and kept the Orange Whip. Then I was able to change the grip on the Orange Whip to my Jumbo Soft Golf Pride CSX, which are the same as what I have on my clubs. I was worried about that because of the size of the screw end which hold the counter weight on, but I was able to use a 1/2" drill bit to make the hole in my grip larger, and get it on without any problems. ... show more

  • Cost
Size: 48"
Work just as good as the name brand one at the golf stores.

  • Grip size
Size: 48"
It does what I want it to do but it would be awesome if they would come in multiple grip sizes OR be easier to replace the factory grip with the grip size I use. I have large hands and use a jumbo golf pride grip.
