You need to have a wall stud or very sturdy wall (masonry) to mount to . Check the wall first! If the stud is in the wrong place don’t mount this to drywall only. You may need to remove drywall and install a 2x4 wall brace and do a drywall repair. Not fun!!! The lag bolts that come with are not sturdy. Do not use them! Spend a dollar at Home Depot and get good ones. That said, really happy with it! ... show more

The mounting brackets on this are very short and will not reach the holes in the back of a 43 inch TV as listed in the description without purchasing extenders.
