  • Great flea & tick prevention at 1/3 price
Size: 6 Count Style: Large Dogs (45 - 88 lbs)
This Amazon Basics flea and tick preventive has the same active ingredients as Frontline Plus at about 1/3 the cost. The only downside to this product (compared to Frontline) is it doesn’t have a pleasant fragrance. It smells more like a chemical when you apply it, but as it gets absorbed by your dogs skin the odor dissipates. The important part is my dog’s getting the same flea & tick prevention as Frontline Plus at 1/3 the price. Highly recommended product. ... show more

  • Affordable PREVENTATIVE
Size: 6 Count Style: Large Dogs (45 - 88 lbs)
The price is hard to beat, and it worked FLAWLESSLY for prevention. But I forgot to reorder for my dog that is a different weight range than the rest, and we of course had fleas within a week. With an ACTIVE infestation, this is much less effective because it wears off significantly by 2-3 weeks (typical of flea drops in general) But once the infestation is over with I will go back to using this because it is so much more affordable than bravecto chews. I do wish they these had a snap off top instead of needing to be cut with scissors. ... show more

  • Applies like Frontline Plus
Size: 3 Count Style: Large Dogs (45 - 88 lbs)
The product goes on the dog similar to Frontline Plus. It also dripped down to the side like Frontline Plus. Maybe I should have bought the bigger size, but she is a beautiful plus-size lab mix and the package shows a lab. The bigger sized tubes, having more solution, drips off more so I thought it would be okay to buy a smaller size. Some competitor products recommend applying it in multiple spots which reduces the runoff. To the manufacturer of this product, can this be applied to multiple spots without losing effectiveness? ... show more

  • Works as Intended
Size: 6 Count Style: Small Dogs (4 - 22 lbs)
I bought this for my pomeranian who is only around 7 pounds. She stays at my parents' lake house over the summer and hasn't had one tick! My parents buy the more expensive stuff for their teacup poodles, and they also haven't had any ticks. So I'd say this is definitely worth the value given they're paying almost double for their flea & tick treatments! Overall, perfect product. Easy to apply. No weird smell. I can't comment on oiliness, as my dog's coat is so thick you can't feel anything after the application. Will be purchasing more in the future. ... show more

  • Pretty good at killing fleas !
Size: 6 Count Style: Medium Dogs (23 - 44 lbs)
I took my 2 dog's a bath with Dawm dish soap and it killed almost all of them . Then I used this to keep them from coming back . It helps a lot !!!! 10/10 definitely recommend!!! No need to spend hundreds when this works great it's been 3 days . I will update if anything changes but my dogs were scratching 24/7 they would stop eating and dig . Same when they were playing they would stop and dig !!!! I bought sevin for our yard to treat it but I haven't done that yet . It's been raining way to bad for that so we will see if this continues to work so far I love it !!!! A must try first ... show more

  • So far, so good
Size: 3 Count Style: Large Dogs (45 - 88 lbs)
I have 4 bully breeds and live in Florida where fleas are horrible. I've used Frontline, Frontline Gold (which was recommended by my vet), Advantix II and I would still see fleas. I read the reviews on this product and said well let's try. One week after application, I ran a flea comb through all the dogs and nothing came out. I also sprayed my yard with Cutters Backyard Spray. Hoping this continues to work. Can't beat the price either. ... show more

  • Excellent at first, but didn’t leave a lasting impression
Size: 3 Count Style: Small Dogs (4 - 22 lbs)
We were looking for something to use on our puppy who was infested with fleas when we got her. At first this worked great, she didn’t seem to have any fleas so we were very pleased with the product. But the effects only lasted about 3 weeks and then she seemed to have fleas all over her once again. In the products defense, it does say “up to 30 days” but if I’m putting something like this on my dog to keep away fleas and it says to only apply every 30 days, I don’t want to have a week of lapse in protection. We did end up reapplying it a few days after the 3 week mark after reading other reviews and answered questions from others who had similar experiences. The results from the second application were lacking. The fleas might have diminished a little but were still very easy to spot and I don’t think I’m even going to bother using the 3rd dose. This product might be good as an added layer of protection but it’s not a good first line of defense in my opinion. It is a cheap alternative to other flea topical treatments though, so if someone was wanting to try it, I’d recommend using a flea shampoo first and then apply the topical and continue to be proactive with using sprays in the house to keep the fleas away and maybe even a flea collar (definitely check with your vet first about using the combination of products). ... show more

  • Works so much better than expected!
Size: 6 Count Style: X-Large Dogs (89 - 132 lbs)
I've been using a monthly topical flea and tick treatment that has different active ingredients (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, and Pyriproxyfen). It seemed to be working fine at preventing ticks, and since we live in an area where Lyme, anaplasmosis, and other tick-borne diseases are common, I was satisfied. Until my dogs caught fleas! The old formula didn't kill them, and I have to admit that I was skeptical that this one would be much different, but wow am I impressed. After applying this formula to my two very hairy Great Pyrenees dogs in the afternoon, I was seeing dead fleas on their backs by bedtime, and have seen many more ever since. My poor dogs aren't scratching as much, and I'm no longer seeing new flea dirt. This treatment is very effective and it's a good value, so I will certainly buy it again. ... show more
