This is one of those products I bought without expecting too much, but I ended up actually looking forward to using it every time. My skin isn’t overly dry or oily — just… needy. A little dull if I skip hydration, a little uneven in tone, and I’ve started seeing some fine lines around my eyes and mouth that weren’t there before. I’m not new to skincare, but I’m also not someone who throws 8 steps at my face daily either — I just want products that work and don’t cause more problems. The first thing I noticed is how balanced this formula feels. It doesn’t leave that stripped feeling some exfoliants do, but it also doesn’t feel greasy or filmy either. There’s no “tingle” — which I honestly appreciate, because I don’t want to feel like I’m burning off my skin barrier just to get results. I’ve been using it at night about 3x a week. After cleansing, I apply it directly to dry skin, no cotton pad — just clean hands. I wait a few minutes, then I follow up with a light niacinamide serum and a ceramide-rich cream. I haven’t had any irritation, peeling, or redness. No breakouts either, which was my fear because some products that are meant to exfoliate end up clogging me even more (weird, I know). The biggest difference I’ve seen is in texture. I had this slightly bumpy area between my brows and along my jawline that always looked rough under makeup. Within 5–6 days of using this, those areas felt smoother, and my skin just looked more even in general — less patchy, less tired. Also worth noting: it plays well under makeup. Some treatments make foundation pill or slide off, but this just kind of disappears into the skin once it dries down. There’s no sticky layer left behind. I use it at night mostly, but I tried it in the morning once before sunscreen and it still behaved. I don’t use a lot — maybe a dime-sized amount for my whole face. It doesn’t smell like much (no added fragrance, which is good for me). I always wait at least 10 minutes before layering anything on top, which seems to help it absorb fully. If your skin is sensitive or dry, I’d go slow at first — maybe 1–2x a week and work your way up. And yes, wear sunscreen every day — that’s just basic skincare at this point, but especially important with exfoliants. I’ll update after a month or two if anything changes, but so far, this has been a solid addition to my routine. If you’re dealing with early signs of aging or just want to smooth out some roughness without nuking your skin, this is worth a shot. It’s one of those rare products that feels gentle but still does something.

I’ve been using this Paula’s Choice exfoliant for a couple of months now, and it has completely changed the way my skin feels. I’ve tried a lot of facial exfoliants over the years, but this one stands out from everything else I’ve used. What I love most is that it’s both gentle and incredibly effective. It doesn’t leave my face feeling irritated or overly dry, yet I can actually feel it working. I use it once a week, and after each application my skin feels noticeably cleaner, smoother, and refreshed. It seems to clear out my pores better than anything else I’ve tried. The biggest sign that it’s working is that I know exactly when it’s time to use it again. If I go much longer than a week without it, my face starts to feel heavy and congested. After I use it, that feeling is completely gone, and my skin feels light, clean, and renewed. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts longer than I expected. I used to believe that skin exfoliants with actual grains in them were better at getting rid of grime and muck from one's face. However, after giving this all-liquid exfoliant a try, I now have to disagree with my past self. The liquid is odorless and goes on smoothly. I tend to exfoliate my face once a week to avoid drying out my face. After a couple of months using this, my skin looks a lot smoother and firmer than before. No wonder it has so many high ratings and a ton of people recommend it! The only downside I've experienced is that it does occasionally irritate my skin. It causes my skin to sting a bit, but it goes away after some time. I believe this is due to the acids in the liquid. After some time, the stinging subsides. Therefore, when you're going to use this product, make sure you experiment with just a small amount and see how it affects your skin. If it hurts and burns a lot, don't continue to use it. Otherwise, a little bit of stinging is okay.

I rarely write reviews because I don’t come across a lot of products that I am blown away. But if you can tell by my comparison photo, I’ve made PRETTY DRASTIC improvements with my skin within a month! So I had to share my thoughts and experiences! I used the product every night before bed with a cotton ball for about a month now. To give you some background, I played college tennis 10 years ago. I was out in the sun all the time for practice. I have hyperpigmentation, large pores, oily face, fungal acne/bumps, and acne scars. Ive had it all. I also hated putting on sunscreen back then because I hate the oily texture of sunscreen with sweat mixed together so I was taking in UVA/UVB at full strength with beaming rays in warm SoCal sun for many many years. Fast forward 10 years, I’ve been pretty religious with skincare since graduating college because I realized that I’ve done huge damage to my skin. I made progress during those 10 years with consistency, but there were still some room for improvements as you can see in the photo. With age, I started seeing some wrinkles under my eyes and and on my forehead as well. I started getting all serious about skincare again a month ago by revisiting my usual selections to see what I can introduce into my routine. I found this product on YouTube, some blog post, and then Amazon. Decided to take a stab with the huge amount of reviews. BEST DECISION EVER! I saw changes within a few days of use! Skin started getting smoother and then pores looked somewhat smaller. After some improvements the first week, I did not see drastic improvements again till week 3. Started seeing changes in hyperpigmentation and smoothness of my skin. Also my wrinkles have somewhat faded under my eyes and forehead. Please note, I did try using it twice a day, but my skin started getting very flaky and sensitive. I think I broke out a little bit too so I had to go back to just once per day. I’d like to add, purging period is part of the process. Don't panic. Just be patient and you will see results. As they say, no pain no gain. I never thought I’d be here in a month with all of the pre-existing skin issues I had, but I can confidently say I am confident in my own skin at 33! This is probably the best skin I’ve ever had! I can finally feel confident makeup free. When I do put on makeup, I don’t have to put on multiple layers of makeup or strategically use concealer to cover up the uneven texture or blemishes. Also my skin looks like it radiates through my makeup now. I saw someone say in the comments here how it’s like having instagram filter IRL. I totally agree. I don’t need no instagram filter! It’s called real life glowy skin! To add to the usage of this product, I also did make a switch in my routine by adding Cetaphil Purifying Clay Mask. I used the clay mask every other day. So it could be a combination of reasons for these results. But I think my comparison photo speaks for itself - Please give it one month of consistent use. Be consistent and you will see huge results! I preface this with saying that my comments are about how this product was for me, and it may work differently or wonderfully for someone else. I was a user of a product called "The Ordinary", and that product was the same (2%) as this one, but more like a serum. I tried this one based on the reviews. I dislike the bottle and the way the product comes out. It's a thinner liquid, and can be messy. You do have to pour it into your hand, and work it onto your face from there, so some product gets wasted. I did not find this product to me more remarkable than the other I used, and I've given it a fair shot (months of using). I wrote the manufacturer about the packaging, and they responded politely. I don't think it will change though unless others say something. I'll finish this bottle since I paid for it, and will go back to the other product, as the serum is placed on my skin with a dropper, and is not messy or wasted. Hopefully others have a better experience.

I’ve had stubborn Milia for the better part of ten years. I took a chance on this stuff (bought the smaller bottle, just in case) and I am ridiculously impressed. It is small but I’ve had this bottle for five months and there’s still a lot left. I’m not great about using this product regularly, so I’m sure I’d get better results if I were more consistent. After a couple of months, I noticed I could gently exfoliate my face and the Milia would start to come out. I couldn’t believe it. There are still some left but it’s a night and day difference to me. I’m very happy with the results.
