Creamy and thick! I like to apply a thin layer to my face before I get into the shower to give it extra time to work. Rinses clear without a heavy film. So far it seems to be working as part of my routine to keep adult bumps and blemishes at bay. I also don't have to wait for a case to be opened at the pharmacy to get some skin care.

This product was a great affordable option for me before I started using other skincare actives, but now that I am on Differin and I have re-introduced benzoyl peroxide I find that I feel like I have to wash my face again after using this or else it will leave a bit of a greasy residue that seems to irritate my skin. I have switched to a foaming BP face wash that feels like it washes away more thoroughly so I don't have to wash my face twice in a row which was ultimately more irritating and expensive. If you've used the CVS brand BP wash I would say this one seems to be about the same.

This is the perfect dupe for the Clean and Clear Continuous Control from back in the day. Apparently they discontinued it? Well this stuff is a great alternative to keep the product alive! Part of my routine can’t live without!

So I tried this face wash out of desperation. My doctor would not refill my Doxycycline for fear of resistance and they wanted me to use more and more products on my face. I was tired of it and was told NOT to use a Benzoyl Peroxide face wash…so I did what any normal person would do and went against their recommendations and used only this face wash with some heavy moisturizer AND LET ME TELL YOU all of my blemishes disappeared over the course of two days. OH. MY. Now I use this twice a day and it did not overly dry out my skin at all. It was perfect for me. I have oily skin. The smell was like nothing was there. This lasted me about a month with twice daily use. I am very impressed and just purchased my second tube. I will keep returning.

I’m almost 60 and still have periods of break outs. So as you can imagine, I’ve used everything, from prescription washes, internal medicines, direct injections to breakout areas, etc. it really affected me socially my entire life. The Amazon Basics I use daily to help control oil, especially on hot summer days doing yard work. What I don’t like about this product, it’s too watery. The first several times I used it, I think a 1/4 of the bottle came out. I try to be careful and try to just put a little on my palm, although more than I want comes out. Other than that, I haven’t had a blemish since. My whole life I’ve always have washed my face at bedtime and in the morning shower. I don’t mind the smell, smells a bit chemically , for the price, I will continue to use.

This wash is perfect for my daughter her dermatologist recommended it. And the nurse told us to look on Amazon for the best price. We feel like we scored big when we found it lots cheaper then the store prices.

It never occurred to me that a benzoyl peroxide cleanser might be scented, let alone to this extent. The smell is so powerful that I could only use it at night. Otherwise I'd go to work smelling like a cheap candle. Aside from my personal dislike of the smell, it concerns me that the product contains unnecessary ingredients to produce it. The scent does not wash off with water, which makes me feel that my skin is not clean after use. Leaving a residue on the skin defeats the purpose of a cleanser. I was also disappointed that "fragrance" is not mentioned anywhere on the product packaging except in the ingredients list. And the ingredients do not specify what the fragrance is. Only that it exists. Lastly, this contains an ingredient that feels a bit like menthol on the skin, causing a sensation that I imagine is intended to convince people the medication is "working". If an unscented version were released, I might try it. But the current product is not something I trust using as part of my daily routine.
