    • No brainer great case
I've used a lot of Otterboxes. I get that they are excellent. The really tough cases are also enormous, which is a problem with the size of phones these days. A case like this, just soft plastic, will absorb an impact well, is comfortable in my hand, and smaller in my pocket. It won't do as well if you deal with a severe impact or crushing blow, but for most people, this case is very good protection. One on side are three inset buttons. They have a muted click. It's easy to tell if you've hit the button, but does take a bit more pressure than you'd need if the phone were uncovered. I've seen cases have much crisper buttons, but they are larger. All the holes, two on the top, two on the bottom, are uncovered. On the more substantial cases, you have to fiddle with a flap to access the USB C port, on this it's just cut. All the cutting and edges on the case are seamless. There are no mold lines, no signs it's thinner or thicker anywhere. There's a good edge around the screen to protect from drops, and just a touch of give, so it will absorb some of the energy from a fall. Similarly the weird huge camera has a lip around it. Both sides are exposed to scratches, so either use a tempered glass cover on both camera and screen, or just be careful not to store this in a pocket with keys. I know they make screens our of tough glass, but that camera is just begging to get scratched and this case does little to help with that. The case looks nice. Even though it's just a cheap clear piece of plastic, it's exposing an expensive phone. The protection for the money is great (and I added the screen and camera protector so I feel like I'm in great shape). It's as close to not having a case as you can get, without worrying about nicking your phone. Almost all the phone damage I see is from drops or from the edges of the phone catching on things over time. this case does great at protecting the risks that are most likely. ... show more
