I usually have an umbrella in the car so I really don't need one under most circumstances. That said, I wanted another one for the occasions when I am meeting with someone when it is raining. This seemed like a decent umbrella and I gave it a fair shot. It's fairly basic, but it works just fine. I selected the Clear model and it is about as plain and basic as one could expect, and that's exactly what I wanted. It lacks any design or flair. There are three models attached to this listing, and the other two have designs printed on the canopy, so there are options if you don't want an umbrella that is as plain as this one. I happened to want this exactly so I am not disappointed. The canopy is flexible plastic, reminiscent of a shower curtain, and it does keep the rain off whoever is standing under it. The canopy is not huge so it will fit maybe two adults huddled together but it is definitely sufficient as a personal umbrella. It's bigger than a compact umbrella so it will keep you drier than that. Operation is simple. Push the button and it opens. Slide to close and lock again. Price-wise, this is a middle-of-the-road umbrella. There are less expensive ones and there are some that cost much more. I like this umbrella and so far it's working out for me. This is a fun, but also really functional, umbrella. The pattern, as you can hopefully see in the included pictures, is fun and colorful. What makes it a winner in my book, however, is the fact that you can see through the umbrella itself. If you have never used a clear, vinyl umbrella you may not realize how much easier and safer they make walking in stormy weather. Instead of walking blindly or peering out into the rain by craning your neck and tilting your umbrella, this one gives you great visibility and light, while keeping you dry. If there was one complaint I would make about this umbrella, it would be that I wish it was sturdier. While it is made well enough to meet the needs of most people, if you plan to use this a lot or are rough on stuff in general (which I confess I am), then you might want to hold out of a more heavy duty example. Other than that, this is great. Not only is it cute as button, but it genuinely does make a walk in bad weather significantly easier than umbrellas lacking its see through design. ... show more

This bubble umbrella is fine and works well, and really does deserve the "basic" name. It has a nice automatic open feature and is easy to close. The entire umbrella is very light weight and the plastic handle is a nice large hook as one would expect from a bubble umbrella. The clear material on the canopy is a bit thin, but it does the job at keeping the water off. The canopy does come down like a bubble, but not really as far down as I would say a true bubble umbrella is, especially in that the canopy ends before it gets vertical. But for the price it is quite nice and inexpensive way to get that bubble umbrella look. ... show more

Pretty nice umbrella to have on hand. Not the most sturdy in the world but pretty much as expected. I like that it is more a dome shape to really help keep you dry. The clear material is nice to be able to have good visibility.

Clear plastic umbrella is a handy size at 34" wide which is large enough to keep the rain off but small enough to fit through a crowded city street. Quick one-hand auto-open via the push button near the handle makes it much easier to use, especially when carrying packages, handbag, and a tote. The clear cover has a cute Parisian theme print with the Eiffel Tower, diamonds, hearts, and red lips in shades of red, black, and blue. The umbrella has a thick plastic handle that is comfortable to hold. It also has a blunt plastic cover over the tip and larger plastic covers at the ends of the ribs which are nice safety features that would make this safer for children to use. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the thickness of the vinyl covering. It is rather thin and about the same thickness as a zip lock storage type bag....the storage variety, not the freezer bags. I deducted a star for the thinness of the covering. ... show more

This umbrella is lightweight and looks nice. It seems strong enough, but I haven't tried it with heavy rain. Very easy to open and close, just pushing a button. Good rain coverage.
