I’m not a great assembler of anything but the instructions were fairly easy to follow - just make sure you make a note of how the screws are placed or you’ll have to disassemble and start over . The stairs were cumbersome as other reviewers mentioned but with patience - it all fit together. Not bad for the price .

This was pretty easy to assemble as each section was marked with a letter and appropriate screws with the exception of the ladder. However it was my dismay to discover one of the main posts was just made of cardboard with some twine wrapped around it! That is not going to hold up for a 12lb cat jumping up and down. I tried to resecure it with duct tape, but to no avail.

There’s good things and not so good things about this. Our cat has loved it and still enjoys. It was fairly easy to set up. Has lots of play things and areas. It sheds easily and constantly having to vacuum carpet piling off floor from where it shed. It has become wobbly with continued use and my daughter’s cat no longer a kitten and becoming a chunky little monkey. The little feather thing lasted maybe a day and broke. Overall I am glad I purchased and if could do again I would still purchase.

The media could not be loaded. We had this about 10 weeks, when our kitten's tail got caught in the toy with the elastic string and ball, as she jumped down. She was trapped, hanging by her tail, crying like she never had before. I don't know what would have happened to her, if my wife hadn't been right there to free her. So, I urge you to not connect those toys, or don't leave them connected when you're not around, at least. Aside from that, our kitten loves this tree. It's held up pretty well, although little bits of fuzz come off where she uses her claws on the carpeted parts. She likes to do bunny kicks on the ladder. Also, she has gotten big enough to get her claws above the rope part of the scratching posts, so the carpet above that is starting to come off. The top tower started to come loose, so I recently had to tighten that bolt. She likes to climb all over it, and all of our other furniture, too. Overall, we're very satisfied with it.

This isn't as large or as stable as the one I had before but it's the exact same shape and I knew I'd be able to turn it into two different cat trees. My senior lady likes to have a large platform to eat on higher up than her sister so this does the job.
