They adjust from about 3 feet to 7 feet tall, so they're perfect for a variety of needs. If you do a lot of work with lighting or cameras, I definitely recommend these tripods. They're a cheap option, and they're very versatile. You can use them to attach lights, microphones, umbrellas, GoPros, and more. The carrying case is nice, quality of the stand is better than expected made of durable lightweight aluminum. It has an adjustable height from 2.8 to 7 feet perfect for most studio or outdoor lighting. I would recommend a weighted bag to hold it down if planning on using outside because its so lightweight a gust of wind could easily topple it.     • GREAT for the $ But incorrect product images

I took a chance on these stands, partially based on their high reviews from a large pool of buyers - and I actually really like them. 2 for $34, great deal! Decent max load of 7 lbs combined with a folded size of just over 2', plus each with its own carry case - ideal for on-the-go setups! Will they last forever? Probably not, but so far they appear to be pretty well made. Are they Manfrotto or Matthews quality? No, but hey they're less than 1/4 the price of comparable models from leading brands. I can always get a better stand later too. Reason for 4 stars - this might seem nit-picky but it's one of the reasons I bought them. The images here show nut & bolt connectors for the legs - this is NOT the case with the stands I received - they are riveted. When rivets wear out over time, they loosen up, and this of course affects the overall stability and reliability of the stand. With a nut & bolt - you can tighten and adjust them as needed (Matthews stands have this feature). If it wasn't pictured with the nut & bolt construction, I wouldn't have mentioned this - but once again on Amazon, we have some incorrect / misleading product images. That minor gripe aside, these are easily the best budget stands you can buy and I'll likely grab another set at some point. ... show more

The package is smaller than I thought, and the item itself is lightweight. It is a good thing for me as I need to carry it around. The stability is just fine. I'll count on it for only portable LED lights, like my 24W lights. My 300W standard LED light can only stablely put on it on the lowest height. For the money it's pretty good. These light stands are great for the price and seem well built, but are probably best suited for indoor use and not to be subjected to much weight at all. The first event I photographed after receiving these, a strong gust of wind caught the softbox on the light and blew it over despite the two sandbags on it. I reacted quickly and caught the light by the top/thinnest shaft on this stand and kept it from hitting the ground. I was almost immediately confused when the light was leaning significantly after I had set the stand back up on all 3 legs. The force of me catching the light by the shaft had bent the light stand noticeably. Still it seems like a well-designed and well-built product and I will most likely continue to buy them as needed. ... show more

    • Super Light Tripod Many uses

PROS: Extremely lightweight Well put together tripods. Nut and bolted attachment points legs etc. instead of rivets The groves on the extensions seem to make them both easier to raise and fall, and I like that it prevents twisting. Standard GRIP Light fitting at top with 1/4 screw thread at very top capped, but ready for use to attach small rig head, flash, mic, etc. Many USES. The clip stops are easy to use and hold the tripod height well. There even is a mark on the tripod for I'm guessing best tripod setting for base strength and stability. CONS: Lightweight so not a tripod that you can abuse. The base is a little stiff so gentle coaxing required to get the legs out and back in. (It was easier getting them folded back in) The tripods are so light you almost feel like they can fold right in on themselves. Yes I'd buy these again and recommend to a friend.
