The 20 foot length is genuinely useful because it gives you enough reach to cross a room without daisy chaining multiple shorter cords, which is both a tripping hazard and an electrical code concern. A single quality 20 foot cord routed along a wall is always the cleaner and safer solution. The physical construction is solid. The outer jacket has a good feel and flexibility without being so stiff that it fights you when you try to route it around furniture or through cable management channels.
