The biggest problem I have with it is that the port end is this big piece of metal, and thus fairly heavy for what it is. I am really surprised. This is my first problem with an Amazon Basics branded product. I bought this 25 foot extension cable in December of 2023 and can confirm it will work fine with standard, stereo, non-microphone type headphones (Search: TRS, or Tip, Ring, and Shield), but won’t work with current Apple wired earbud headphones with the extra microphone ring connection on the plug. See the photo with this review, and if your headphones have the extra ring on them, (Search: TRRS, or Tip, Ring (1), Ring (2), Shield) this cable won’t work. It doesn’t just cut out one or both right or left channels, but actually somehow combines them so there is no true, independent left or right channel stereo sound, but instead a combined mono, muffled, lower volume sound. Only use this Amazon Basic extension cable with a non-microphone type (TRS) headphone. It works great for that purpose. Again, this is a December 2023 new purchase of this cable with a March 2024 new purchase of Apple wired earbuds. This cable works great with my other standard headphones that only have the classic, standard, non-microphone TRS type plug. My Sony MDR-7506 Studio Monitor headphones (again, TRS only) sound great with this Amazon extension cable. ... show more
