I can't believe the quality of this mat for so little money! It is very thick, soft, as described, so helpful for my knees and my back. I've got the blue color, very pretty. The size is big, plenty room to stretch or lie on. I love the handle to help carry it. I love everything about it.

I was searching for a thick, cushiony, yoga mat FOREVER when I finally landed on the Amazon Basic one. I love the pretty pink color, and for any 10$ (on prime day) it’s a steal for the quality mat you get. I know there’s yoga mats that cost 20$+ and aren’t as good quality as this. There’s a more ribbed side (for exercising on) and a smooth side which actually grips the floor really well. I like the strap that is comes with to carry on the go, and the thickness of this mat is a 10/10 (main reason for my five stars). The thickness makes doing any exercise on it SUPER comfortable, even on top of a hard gym floor, and it’s more than long enough for me (for reference I’m 5’2” [just as in the photo^]). Also, the actual width of the yoga mat is nice but might be inadequate for someone who is bigger or taller, depending on what it will be used for. It’s also comfy enough that my dog likes to lay on it. Still don’t know about the long term quality, but it seems as though it will hold up just fine. Overall, 10/10 for this Amazon, great mat and for a great price!

See pics! I love the thickness of this mat. Its very long, I love that. It is sturdy and is not falling apart anywhere for the price... It's definitely a good purchase. Comfortable and supportive for bad backs, hips, etc. Not slippery. Design is great. It's completely functional. Easy to use.

I recently purchased the Amazon Basics 1/2 Inch Extra Thick Exercise Yoga Mat, and overall, I’m very pleased with my choice! The extra thickness provides excellent cushioning, making it comfortable for various exercises, from yoga sessions to floor workouts. I appreciate how it absorbs impact, which is a huge plus for my knees during those more challenging poses. The mat also has a nice, non-slip surface, giving me the stability I need during my workouts. One of the standout features for me is the included carrying strap. It makes transporting the mat super easy, which is great since I often take it to the gym or a yoga class. The mat is lightweight and rolls up nicely, so it fits perfectly in my bag. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I’ve noticed it can be a bit slippery when first unrolled. However, after using it a few times, it seems to break in nicely and provides better grip. In conclusion, this is an excellent yoga mat for anyone looking for comfort and convenience at a great price. I would definitely recommend it to fellow fitness enthusiasts!

I’m a major fan of this mat! The thickness is perfect for my uneven back wood deck that also constantly has small rocks scattered all over it from my dogs running around. I’ve started morning meditations & stretching outside where the thin mats just weren’t cutting it. The size is great, it’s nice & smooth as well as supportive. I appreciate it comes with the travel/storage band to help keep it rolled up makes it easy to just leave by my back door & carry out each morning :) My mom bought a normal yoga mat for stretching but felt like she was just on the ground super uncomfortable so I told her about this thicker one & now she is so much more comfortable while stretching!

Excellent, durable, and comfortable mat. User is 180 pounds and 6 feet in height. The cushion is thick and firm, so it's an excellent on hard floor as a foundation for bridges and other body work.

I bought 4 to use as cushioning I could easily take out and wipe clean for the bottom of a play pen. Some of the sizing was slightly off between the 4 but not enough to make much of a difference and if you're using them for their intended purpose something you're probably not going to notice unless you're lining them up like I did. They wipe clean very easily, the ridged side is fantastic to hold in a bit of a spill so you can wipe it down without it absorbing or running off, held up to some pretty rough use and stay uncurled pretty much as soon as you put them down. The carrying straps work great to contain them and carry though they are quite heavier than a typical yoga matt which is to be expected. Sitting on them or laying on them is much more comfortable than just the carpet (even padded carpet), this was a really great product I bought trying to find something I could get ASAP to work for my purpose and liked the first one so much I ran back and ordered 3 more, there's actually a lot of things you could do with this as they trim pretty easy with a utility knife and add a fair amount of cushion while still being firm enough to walk on easily.
