I love amaran for the great products they make, But they also do over price things and make you pay extra for a mount is crazy. For the price you’re paying cmon man. At least add more options to the light for the price point. Love my 300c but I don’t see myself paying almost 300 for this.

I won’t get into technicalities of the light because there’s a whole lot of sponsored influencers and Vine users(Amazon freebies) doing that already, but will briefly cover my experience and impression of the item after having it for a few days. It’s a light panel that works well similarly to popular Godox, Neewer, Elgato offerings. It’s slim, quiet and simple to use, but I would not say innovative in design by any means, unless you enjoy Amaran/Aperture ecosystem. Some issues: -Build quality isn’t great, but I suppose that helps with size and weight. I had a Neewer that felt more durable and substantial. Light quality is all preference. -The tilt mount does not hold the light panel straight no matter how hard you stiffen the mount, only at varies degrees. It SHOULD be marketed that the light sits at that angle and it only points downwards! -Cable management “system” is a cheap and an oversight. How do you include only 2 cable clips (you can buy these in bulk from Amazon) and call it a cable management system? It’s cheap and the double sided tape will peel off like mine did. -I bought the White/Silver variant and you would think that if they wanted to help people maintain the look of their setup, they could’ve opted for a white power cable instead of a black one. Looks really off. -The design could have been better with the option to use Sony NPF batteries. There’s a whole lot of wasted space in the back and I doubt it would add much bulk to the design. -The light should have included the soft box and the mount accessory. You have to buy these separately. -Lastly, if you enjoy how your set up looks, you need to be mindful that this thing is huge even when I thought I needed a nice size light for a small setup, it becomes the main focal point of the desk setup.
