This light is nutso good for the money! I’ve used and owned Arri, Keno and more lights over the years (was a gaffer in LA) and this blows my mind for ~$250 or what ever it is. If you don’t own one, you should.

I’m a videographer, I own a few different light from Godox to Apature lights. The Amaran is just as bright as my $700+ aperture lights and just kills my Godox. I bought one plan to buy 2-3 more. Plus the app and lighting effects are crazy

I had high hopes for the Amaran 200dS LED Video Light, but it has been a huge disappointment. The light stopped working after just a few uses, and customer support has been unresponsive. The Bluetooth app is glitchy and often disconnects, making brightness adjustments frustrating. While the 8 pre-programmed lighting effects sound great, they feel more like a gimmick than a useful feature. The build quality doesn’t match the price—it feels cheap and fragile. I expected a reliable studio light but got an unreliable product instead. Would not recommend.
