I was going to buy this from Best Buy but ordered online at Amazon. With free Prime why not get it delivered for free! About this WIFI frame, it’s so convenient to be able to send photos or even short videos right from my iPhone via Aluratek Smart Frame app. Binding my phone to the frame was so easy. But I forgot where I put my wireless password so make sure you know before setting up the frame. Also makes sure you have a stable WIFI connection. I don’t use Facebook and other social media to push photos but those options are certainly there. I also like the fact my pictures aren’t being stored on the cloud for security reasons. Excellent clear resolution for 8” screen size and the best of all it is touchscreen. I’m keeping this one at my work desk and I also connected my sister to this frame so when she’s traveling with her kids, she can wirelessly send pictures of kids and adventures me. I’m thinking of buying couple more, larger size Aluratek WIFI frames to give to my parents. Then have all my siblings bound to the frame to send pictures of all the kids for grandma and grandpa to enjoy. I don’t get the negative reviews, I’m sure some people have difficulties setting up WIFI devices but this is a winner. I wanted a WiFi digital picture frame to display tons of photos in my phone and computer. I did a little research, and I found the Aluratek ADMPF208F 8-inch Hi-Res WIFI Digital Photo Frame. So I purchased it and love it. It's easy to set up and use. You can download an app to send your phone directly, or share photos your Facebook and twitter accounts directly to the frame. Also, you can use USB drive or SD Card for playing your photos, videos, and music. The frame displays every photo correctly, automatically arranging it so it fits the screen. The quality of display is pretty beautiful. I run the slide show, and the frame has several effects when changing pictures, such as a zoom out old picture, zoom in new, and a fade out old picture, slide in new picture. The day, date, and current time show nicely on the top of the frame, and the frame turns off at the designated time, and back on at the designated time. And also the frame has alarm function. I am completely satisfied and actually pleased with the functionality of this frame. If you have a ton of pictures that you would like to transfer from your iPhone, iPad, Facebook, twitter and the cloud to a digital frame that will display them properly, then this frame is for you! ... show more

    • DONT waste your money

Setup and app navigation were very easy. The one thing that annoyed me was that it wa supposed to be 8 GB. When you start it up, you really only have 4.5 because the system install takes up about half. The selection to view your photos is weird because it displays the pre-installed photos and not the ones you load. I used an sd card because there wasn't enough memory. The wifi upload works great but any pics you upload go to the internal memory and wont display in the on-screen slide show. No motion sensor but you can set a timer for hours of operation. The one REALLY annoying thing is that auto on/off doesnt work. UPDATE: it stopped putting my pucs on a slide show automatically. I have to restart the slideshow manually each time. Customer Sevice is horrible. They have not responded to requests for help. DONT waste your money. ... show more

For the good, picture display is nice. Unit was easy to set up. Touchscreen and buttons on back of the unit make navigating the menus easy. Handful of customization options. Directions that come with the frame are clear and explain how to load pictures onto the frame. The downsides: the frame is compatible with an smartphone app to load pictures. I used the android version of the app. It froze while trying to look through old photos - works fine if you want to send any of your most recent (30ish) photos but crashes while trying to scroll to older shots. Turning the phone on and off again fixed issue for a short while. You can also supposedly send photos via email; that never worked for me. There's another option for wireless connecting to a PC, that never worked for me either. You can transfer photos via SD card or USB stick which seems to be the easiest option. Didn't try the import from facebook option. So conclusion decent enough frame for the price but I wished the app and/or email photos to frame worked better. ... show more

I purchased this photo frame because our other photo frame just stopped working. I was a little concerned about buying another photo frame, because we did not use our old one that much due to the fact that it was so hard and time consuming to upload the pictures. I'm so glad I bought the Aluratek..... it is GREAT! The setup was so easy! They have QR codes and an app that do most of the set up work for you. I think the best part about the frame is the Wifi capability. It makes everything so convenient. You just connect it to your phone and you can quickly and easily send the photos straight to you frame. I also really like the touch screen functionality. It immediately recognizes each touch (I have to press some of the touch screen products I have many times for it to recognize my touch), which makes it easy to navigate through the menu settings. It's also neat to have the weather forecast on the frame. This frame would also be perfect to buy for relatives that live out of state. You can connect and send photos to the their frame! I bought this as a way to display old photos. I had many on cards and storage files, and it shows them well. I plan to use this at an upcoming family reunion to show these old photos. I will have my grandchildren figure out the other features, but hope to share photos with the children.
